So modders have to do all the work? Is that your intention? Instead of saying modders could do this and that much better (which is true) so it is ok that its not in the vanilla game i think ppl should tell Bethesda how poor they have implemented a variety of things in older games and with F4 they are still going down the road.

Good? Hope theirs no hardcoe mode neither...

That way I can mod them in myself without worrying about game mechanics interfering.

I don't know what you're talking about. Everything in vanilla Fallout 4 is, seemingly, a vast improvement over both vanilla 3 and vanilla New Vegas (especially 3, which, is the former Fallout game Bethesda made themselves). (Though, to be fair, I did like the reputation/faction karma system in New Vegas; not sure why it's seemingly been removed in 4. No issues really, other than that one thing).

I'm sure people will complain over the dialogue system being different too, but, it's not worse or bad per se, just different and more aligned with all other modern RPGs (i.e. voiced).

I'm facing the music or whatever you want to call it. I'm not depressed. I'm certainly not purchasing Fallout 4 at all after all of the information we have gotten about Fallout 4 so far and I'm certainly NOT purchasing any video games developed by Bethesda Game Studios anymore.

Too much simplication and ease of use of their video games lately.

I'm critisizing Fallout 4 because Bethesda Game Studios made some poor mistakes adding some features and removing some features.

well depend on what u call hard-mode, bc there is a Survival mode that remove HP regeneration and add more encounter with Legendary enemies.

Food and Water and Sleep on NV was easy to work around there wasnt a true hard-core mode, it never was Hard.

Repair only make so ppl carries alot of the same weapons that isnt a good mechanic for a geme. Plus now we have condition on weapons as u can see on Fallout IOS game. So yeah everything isnt perfect that some ppl say.

Removing Repair is the right think to.

You won't have to carry a lot of the same armor and weapons if you can just store them in a container by your workbench or something to repair the armor and weapons.

Also make the armor and weapons break slower and not be able to just repair them in the middle of open land with no anvil or hammer or workbench or whatever.

HP regen was never in the games to begin with.

hardcoe mode's real challenge was not being able to pump 10x stims instantly and melee a deathclaw. HoT instead of insta-heal was the true challenge, hopefully stims are HoT now.

Do we know if there are alternatives like instead of armor degrading it gets blown off and something similar for weapons.

The old system was annoying. But to me it does not make sense to remove a weapon repair system just to add a deeply complex weapon mod system that evolves around workbenches, crafting and breaking down parts.

No as of now we don't.

We just know that only armor gets blown off and only Power Armor has health.

Actually, they do last forever. What they need is cleaned, not repaired at least as far as something that needs done regularly. Personally, won't really miss it as there were so many of every gun laying around that it was kind of pointless.

u have your opinion as is good, but u can call Fallout 4 too much simplification, bc they remove repair, when the mechanic as horrible to bigging with. Hard-core mode didnt add anything on NV since it was easy work around it.

Im seriously think ppl more and more love to get stupid mechanics on game just to forget that they are there.

Fallout 4 improve over the crafting system, give us a PA that look alot closer to the actual lore from it. Combat have improve. The AI have improve. Even the do that leak the info is saying the main ho story is going to a interesting place. Comanions dont dying mean u wont be reloading 100000000000000000000000 every time they go running to a full pack of super mutants. We getting weather system. So yeahh......

I know Dialogue have change but probably if doesnt work they will change it next ES game.

Im seriously dont understand players this day.

It's really pathetic that people on here are mad they take this away for reasons such as simplification or realism. This is a video game, not every aspect has to be realistic. Yes 200 years have passed since bombs hit and these guns are in bad conditions, but its an annoying aspect of the game to have to constantly repair weapons every 10 minutes. Also people complaining about simplification...who cares! This is a video game thats meant to be fun, and Bethesda did a great job at taking out a crappy aspect, and replacing it with a fun and entertaining one. Why do you need the constant and aggravating repair system, is it just so you can brag about it? If you honestly think it was such a fun and integral part of Fallout, then youre not even paying attention to the real game. Just think instead of complaining about every little thing, and anolyzing every little aspect of detail for realism.

I don't understand why Bethesda would get rid of the repair system in Fallout 4 of all games? They've finally implemented a system were weapons could have been repaired by miscellaneous items instead of guns... It seems asinine to remove a feature as soon as you 'fix' it.

Guns don't last forever if they are outside in the open, especially in rainy environments and snowy environments.

I been to museums that have antique weapons and some weapons from 50+ years ago.

The weapons from 50+ years ago some of them were acquired from muddy, wet environments.

I looked at a BAR that was in some muddy place and it was pretty rusted. I looked at a M16 that was in the rice patties of Vietnam and it was rusty band not properly functioning. At least going by the description these 2 weapons alone had.

I saw a musket rifle that was in the ocean near the coastlines in the East and it's wood was decayed after 300 years.

I also even kept 2 years ago a rifle of mine outside and didn't oil it until a few months ago and it's barrel started getting rusted.

You don't deserve to even look at a video game. People can have opinions but Bethesda is one of the best developers around. Stop trying to act like you have to actually have to be a rocket scientist and save the president in real life. Just have fun with a video game instead of being a snob. and if you feel that way then get off the forums because clearly you have no interest in this game. In fact you probably have nothing better to do than complain to people on here. Pretty sad.

There is too much simplication. Your companions now don't die as well.

Do you ignore the improvements I said could be made to the armor and repair degradation system?

Instead of Bethesda Game Studios removing it in Fallout 4 they could of made it so you can only repair at the workbenches as well where you do your modifications.

So you don't have to carry 100 of the same armor and weapons.

the weapons you acquire in the game are working, and would just need cleaning. How many times did you take a broken weapon and use it to repair another broken weapon.

I fail to see how limiting the already stupid repairing, to a few dots around the map is an improvement.

I've never taken a broken weapon to repair another broken weapon, but it can be done if you take parts that are not broken like a barrel, maybe a spring, maybe a firing pin, maybe a barrel shroud, maybe a trigger, etc.

It's called dismantling and using what works.
