Armor & Weapons of Skyrim

Sabres! Last seen in Daggerfall, and I want them back. Especially if we have mounted combat... cavalry sabre fits my character perfectly.

The other one I'd love is flintlock pistols, but most people seem to think that's a terrible idea for some reason.

I wonder if they've given any thought to giving torches a damage value equal to a club. I'd really enjoy swinging my torch, especially when fighting a Troll.

maybe is about time we get Gold,Silver,Copper,Ruby,Sapphire,Emerald,Topaz and Pearl armor and weapon by collecting the valuables based on weight rather than stocks that way we can use Flawed,Normal and Flawless qualities.

I want more options in between leather and iron, such as hardened leather, studded leather, lamellar armor e.g.

I'd like this as well, or at least allow us more layering.

I'm hoping to be able to wear decent armor while wearing some kind of leather overcoat, instead of having to modify the values of the overcoat to scale it up to the armor I would be wearing with layering in.

I'm in the process of listening to the Todd Howard Q&A segment on gametrailers.com. I'm super-excited about how he is describing skills, specializations and skill trees. I would love to actually EXPERIENCE axes, blades and maces before I commit to which one I prefer gameplay-wise. I love it. Plus, the skill tree concept allows for endless specialization. Who knows how deep this will go? You know Bethesda will take this to the max. One-handed weapons leads to swords, which leads to short-swords or daggers, which leads to parry or assassinate... Amazing. I love it.

SO EXCITE.

Also, he mentioned that once they take something out of the series, they don't intend on bringing it back (without severely transforming it). Reason being, pulling little gems of gameplay out of every weapon and spell is the ultimate goal. HOW. AMAZING.

I love it. Just... love it. Best TES ever in the making.

I certainly hope not.
I can make more unique combinations if I can have different types on each shoulder and each hand.

YEAA I WANT DIFERENT PALDRONS AND GLOVES BACK! THIS IS THE ONLY THING I WILL DEMAND THAT GET BACK FROM OLDER GAMES! I DON'T WANT A NEW SYSTEM I DON'T WANT ONE ITEM ARMOURS TO INCREASE WHATEVER I WANT BACK 16 ITEMS IN THE SAME TIME!!!

i definately want the equivelant of a sniper rifle, so whatever that is, precision magic, or a sniper crossbow, maybe with a laser sight, maybe some musket rifles, that way everyone will be happy.

I believe glass is confirmed for weapons.
In one of the GI mag screens, there is a PC with a green mace(the so-flanged-its-bladed kind) on his/her hip.

Yeah, we definitely need MORE of something. I'm seeing a whole lotta "less" in all the new info. Something with MORE would be appreciable. lol

Maybe I was in the minority, but I was one of the few players to use crossbows and throwing knives in Morrowind, and to actually thoroughly enjoy both. Flails and whips I doubt will see a return as I said, due to their complexity within the physics engine of the game, but I remain cautiously optimistic about spears, and capes if they're done right could be cool.

That is true. Might make sense not seeing as many Imperial Armours as before (Given that one of the central plot points seems to be whether or not the Nords rejoin the Empire) but more Nordic armours seems logical.

Haha. Well... I don't really like the God-Like silliness of the previous two games, I hope that's something that gets fixed. But I do like the ability to get good at everything (And I like that alot more than I see so far).

...Pal. =P

Well since I exploited my luck, I use a dwarven crossbow and throwing stars and darts, ...
Crossbows really kicks ass.

So there's only 12 armor sets in TES.
Every individual piece of each set is identical.

LACK LUSTER.

We need something like 40 sets.
Or else 20 sets with random variations in stats and appearance.
Equiptment is really lacking in TES... I hope they step it up a notch with Skyrim.

Yes, it feels like we could use some more types.

I hope we'll see a bunch of designs that no longer fall in the usual categories. The armour the presumable PC wears in a lot of screens seems to be a mix of studded leather and fur. I hope we'll see more combinations of different materials.

It's good that somebody else shares my opinion! I just recall in the ViDocs leading up to Oblivion, they said they had cut spears, throwing stars, darts throwing knives and cross-bows because no one enjoyed them. I was like "Hey what the hell! I did!" Never-the-less, I assumed that was the general consensus was against me. And we're in agreement: Crossbows did kick ass. And for the pen-ultimate "finisher" weapon, whipping a throwing star at someone can't be beat.

Crossbows, throwing stars, darts, throwing knives,... In early levels, I never use them, because it's expensive, I found some enchented ones (with low luck, it's a waste to use enchented throwing weapons), but now that I'm at high LUCK, it's more enjoyable to use them.

...Morrowind had great weapons (pickaxes are ok, but fun, because they thought of putting them in the game)... Oblivion had Rusted weapons (which is great!)... They should mix all of the TES weapon types for Skyrim... wel mostly... and for Morrowind's weapons, because Solsteim is populated by Nords, why not have a shop in Skyrim with a Nord from Solsteim that imports weapons and armor that Skyrim don't have from Morrowind and Solsteim?.
