ArmorClothes you want to see in the next Fallout game

Post » Thu May 03, 2012 5:13 am

Theres 2 weapons threads but there isn't a armor or clothes thread, whats up with that?
What I would like:
Batman costume(can have some armor or not I don't care)
Superman costume(no armor)
Elvis Costume
Alien Costume(there is talking of a costume shop in Fallout 3)
Ninja Costume
Uncle Sam Costume
Chinese Armor
US Uniform(whatever the military was using for its soldiers when they weren't in armor)
Chinese Uniform
Desert Combat Armor(increase stealth in arid enviorns)
Winter Combat Armor(increase stealth in winter enviorns)
Forest Combat Armor(increase stealth in forset enviorns)
Urban Combat Armor(increase stealth in urban enviorns)
Cowboy Duster
Samurai Armor
Knight Armor
Light/Medium power armor(can be explained by it being lightweight ceramic)
Enclave Power Armors(very rare and only certain traders that specialize in hard to get items would have them, would include both the armors from Fallout 3 and new vegas)
Enclave Combat Armor(same as power armor)
Enclave Clothing(same as power armor)
Survivalist Armor
Survivalist Clothing
Survivalist Duster
SWAT Armor
Police Uniform
Riot Armor
Riot Shield
Tribal Shield
Wasteland Armor

Easter Egg Armors/Clothes:
Darth Vader Armor
Halo Power Armor
Clown Clothing

Like the Items Mentioned ( Especially the Power Armor  )
I also think there should be something like the Riot Gear in F:NV without the duster, sorta like Joshua Graham's i guess? But how would you get power armor training from a trader? i think they should be held by a Power-Armored faction (Remnants, Outcasts, Etc.)
Other than that great list, i hope it finds its way into the next wasteland

Edit: Darth Vader's armor would have to be Power Armor, he's mostly a robot ( yes, i would know ), and by the SWAT armor are you already referring to the non-duster JG type thing?

I'd say Power Armour should only be included if it makes sense. They should also make the training very difficult to get and should give PA greater positives, but also greater negatives.

That is, of course, if they have PA at all.

Agreed, we shouldn't be allowed to receive PA training just because we fixed a leaky sink for the BoS.
"oh hey, are you the one who fixed that annoying bath tub that didn't drain right?"
"who.... Me? I sure did, we'll me n my trusty monkey wrench. Hehe"
"cool, cool. Say, you like wanna know how to use one of our most praised pieces of technology? It's like REALLY COOL."
"uh, yea.... Sure, sighn me up"

A better variety of business suits would be nice. Also something along the lines of the mysterious stranger outfit.

You see it on the body of the detective in the Ultra Luxe, but unfortunately you can't loot it. I as so excited only to be let down. Having that with the Mysterious Magnum would have been amazing.

So a trench coat with a fedora. Also pre-war hats need to be called fedoras.

I'd just like the ability to mix and match appropriately ala Morrowind. Like the wasteland doctor's outfit with an NCRCF vest over it. It may not sound like much, but something like that probably won't ever be implemented outside of mods.

Indeed it would. I always liked the sort of noir style and the Mysterious stranger outfit is just that sort of stylish clothing. If I can see a private-eye detective doing a monologue and smoking a cigarette with some soft jazz music playing in the background, its automatically awesome.

I want a power armor called the T-27A or something like that. I figure you could have a west-etc building and on the bottom floor there would be a power armor testing room, and it would have 5 different rooms for different power armor. Only the T-27A would be there, and each empty room would have a terminal explaining what happened to the other sets of armor. The armor would also be medium armor.

Chinese Uniform from Fallout 3
Formal War from New Vegas
More Power Armor, Combat Armor, and weapons with USAF labels. (I have a Pre-War fetish, leave me alone.)
Generals Uniform from Lonesome Road
Variety of Pre-War Businesswear (Particularly a brown suit with white shirt and red tie)
Better looking fedoras that don't cover the eyes like you're about to do something shifty.

Brown? Why a brown suit :yuck:

I want better hats, male and female ones lying around not just one hat that magically changes when put on a girl, like the Indiana Jones hat becomes a feathered turd on a female :stare:
Better sunglasses/specs because all of those previous ones svck because they were either ugly or clipped my guys face. I want a pair of reflective looking http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_liv40fx02L1qalmnt.bmp

General Pattons personal helmet.
Civil/ colonial apparel that itches like hell, and will dehydrate you due to being so heavy.

On the serious side....
I definitely want more casual wear, as I'm hardly ever in anything other than a suit n tie.
It would have been nice if Nero and Big Sal both had custom suits, instead of "Grimmy Buisnesswear".... that's lame.
Also, make the tuxedos less, ummm, awkward looking? Idk, they just didn't seem to not fit correctly/ awkwardly.

No. Not needed, leave this to TES series.

I don't really want to or need to see any specific types of clothing in the next game, maybe an Armored Trench Coat (with a hood) along with a Gas Mask that can either be already attached to the Armored Trench Coat, or a type of Face gear.

Speaking of Gas-Masks, a greater variety of anti-radiation clothing would be nice as well. Something instead of just "Radiation Suit."

Well to me it depends on the location, and personally id like to see some snow in the next fallout, so therefore snow camo power armor would be cool like in Fallout 3. Also I know this is a little Skyrimish but mabey if a new creature is introduced that has super tough skin and if crafting is present you can make a medium armor similar to leather. A really good medium armor with DT of like 18 and weighs only 10?? Idk. But ya just cool spin offs of riot would be cool. No tribal indian type of stuff!

We also have the advanced radiation suit, it's really all we need other than actually gas masks. The one in Lonesome road looks more like a painters respirator that a actual gas mask, it it doesn't make any sense for it to have anti-radiation qualities. What would be better is for the character having to have it when they go in certain areas because of gas's.

Yes! I would love to go streaking through the wastes. Maybe RP as someone tripping on some bad chems.

Though already I can see people doing this just so they can see naked people... *sigh*

I think all clothing should be six specific. How am I supposed to make a crazy Currior if, on occation, I can't put him in a blue full length dress with a matching bonnet? At the very least they could have put this in the Wild Wasteland perk.

Screw the Radiation Suits, they're dumb and should be gotten rid of. If not gotten rid of, then replaced more by Environmental Armor (along with the Mk II variant,) from FO:Tactics.

Or just give radiation some real effects, like long term poisoning and stuff like that. This way radiation suits will not just be more effective, but may be necessary in some situations.
Also, I want different masks/ head gear to show up differently in FP mode(like seeing the outlines of goggles ect)
@Dr.StrangeLove, who is your profile pic of? I wanted to say an emotional Chuck Norris but I doubt that.
