Are they any better than vigilance and also can they die?

They are definately better than Vigilance and they can die however they have alot of HP and really the only thing that can kill them is friendly fire. They are also faster, cooler (IMO), and stronger than the armoured trolls. I use them because they're cool and I needed a break from the sheep-hounds that came with Skyrim. Also on the vampire side you get deathhounds, which have the same stats, but they look different.

The huskies are cool but I gave up with mine because it kept getting into fights with Serana. If either of them hit each other in combat they turn on each other until the dog is dead. After a few reloads I gave up. Probably alright if you're alone though.

Any chance of them staying alive on master? Also, do they level depending on when you get them? Are they a one shot deal and after they die they are gone from the game?

They bark constantly always get in the way when your attacking an enemy and there the worst followers in the game for blocking doorways.

I wish they respawned. I lost both of them fairly early, along with a few armored trolls. I gave up after that. I'll just get Barbas and not finish the quest. Clavicus is your master no longer! Your knowledge as the hound of Cavicus Vile will be broadened with your time spent with I, as a dog.

What a waste I love huskies even if they are annoying. When Dawnguard gets released for PC i will prob set mine to essential and have him around even if he is completely worthless lmao.
