Considering that we don't know what any of the armor and weapons will look like in Skyrim, I'd say trying to determine from the images in the trailer what each armor or weapon is won't be all that productive. The look of the same type of armor or weapon has often changed considerably between games, and this makes sense. Because a weapon called a "steel longsword" isn't one distinct design of sword, it's a long sword made using steel. So just because two swords are both steel longswords doesn't mean they must look alike. Of course, the game can't include infinate variety for its weapons, so usually, in an individual game, the same model will be used for all instances of the same weapon, but this wouldn't necessarily be true in reality, and there's no reason why the designs of armors and weapons can't change between games. And even if you believe you can identify what type of armor or weapon a person in the carving is wearing, it's hard to say how close it is to the appearance of that item in the game. After all, the carving is probably just an artist's rendition of the events of the story, so there could very well be some creative license involved in it.
