UC_ARMORY - Dremora

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 5:33 am

Hi all,

I've recently added the UC_Armory mod; mostly great it has to be said, but:

I received an error whilst in a Daedric shrine involving the Dremora Lord to the effect that the "PSY_DREMORA_L.NIF" file cannot be found.
I have searched my install directories and it's not there.
I have yet to search the mod's directories to check, and I was going to download Psymonizer's Dremora mod to see if I could get it from there.

Has anybody else come across this?
Also,
can anyone tell me the name of the original.nif file for the Dremora, in case I need to get it from my backup and rename it as a workaround?

Cheers!
Mat

I had that issue, fixed it by opening Morrowind.esm in the TESCS, looking up Dremora Lord and the associated model, then I opened the UC_Armory esp, looked at which dremora creatures were affected and set them back to the proper model.

I reported it back then, think it's fixed in the last version.

Well I might try that then.

I've actually got the latest version and it's not fixed in it...

So anyway, in the end I got the file - DREMORA.NIF off of the disc, because I absolutely cannot find it on my machine anywhere - which is odd - but I copied it into the appropriate mod directory and changed it's name to match what it should be.
Kinda works, although the animation is a bit shot and the figure doesn't disappear into dust at the end, just stands there like a statue.
I can live with it, just but I would REALLY like to know either
a: How I get the animation back or
b: How I can get the actual files that SHOULD be there...

Appears sorted for Dremoras, thanks very much Rot! :)

I thought I fixed this already. What version does your Readme say? At the top, next to the name. If there is no version number, it's v1.0. Current version is v1.1 and should have all refs to Dremora removed as Rot suggested.

You're saying that Rot's solution fixed it?

Then I will look into editing the .esm again as soon as possible and up the fixed version.

You're not still getting errors, are you?

That wasn't clear, my bad - I really just removed all creature changes from your .esp with the enchanted editor, no need to reassign their models. (wouldn't that mess with dremora replacers if loaded after them?)

Sounds like an editor you're using (maybe tescs) is reapplying these changes everytime you save with it.

I used TESAME to remove the records. I'll try the enchanted editor and see if that is any more effective. I have not yet been able to verify that the records are even there in 1.1, but I'll be able to shortly.

In the meantime, the .esp is not required to get most of the positive effects of this mod.
