Armour and game opinion

Post » Sat Nov 06, 2010 8:42 pm

the games a triumph, bugs and all,and thats saying something for me,an olde fallout iso addict.

BUT i am level 25 and still havent got anything better than the sheriffs duster armour to wear.
terribly unbalanced.

i know theres better DT armour, but losing the perks isnt worth the swap.

and recon armour +5 sneak ????..wtf is that all about.

but again, another triumph for this dev/pub group.

"Recon" armor. It is designed for doing recon, which requires being stealthy so you aren't noticed. So why would armor, designed to help you be sneaky, not give you a sneak boost?

But yeah, the lack of armor options is a bit depressing. Beating the game with leather armor? cmon. However there is never a shortage of weapons, though I dont understand why the Fiends are the ones with most of the energy weapons outside of the SilverRush

i have boone wearing that, its too heavy for my sniper.

as for the +5 to sneak, its too low,i get 20 from a mag and can add 15 for 1 solitary skill boost.
its really nothing to add +5,its like adding 5 cornflakes to a bowl of cereal.

agree on weapons,luverly choices.

I am struggling to find great armour. I mainly use the Merc Grunt Outfit, one because it looks good and you also don't have to worry about factions. I do have Veteran Ranger Armour but it can be difficult to get, I need another one for Boone. Power Armour is also a problem in my eyes, it is very hard to get hold of. Knight Torres isn't restocking so it is a pain.

I have had lots of choices for armor, I wore the duster at one point... Wore Van Graffs armor, two different power armors, naughty nightwear, and vault 34 armor... And of course in the begining, the merc outfits, surgeon outfits, business outfit, there are a lot you guys just don't remember using, or didn't need to use. Personally, in towns, I wear formal wear lol.

It is more to do with how Godly CSA, RR Combat Armour, Tesla/Hellfire Power Armour are in FO3; then NV have DT instead of DR and the DT value is only 30~50% of DR.

Add on HC mode and buff in sneak, the only good wear are 1st Recon beret and rebreather.
