An Army OF Ant Genomes

I never knew that ants created a substance similar to royal jelly, but considering the fact that they're related to bees makes it make a lot of sense.

The thing I know most about ants is that when they make a beeline for my kitchen, I pour corn meal at point of entry, they take it back to their nest, eat it, can't digest it and so their little ant tummies asplode. I did it 2 years in a row, and haven't had any for 3 years now. I think they warned their friends. :P

In general, feeding nothing but cornmeal to house guests is the best course for an early eviction. Mooching family members it seems are much more resilient than most insects with this method.

Heehee, not if you don't give them anything to drink with said corn meal. :P
