Does anyone else think a lot of the Nord guards sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger??

Yeah, a number of Nords, I think usually guardsmen, sound like Arnold Schwarzenegger. It's a cool accent, though.

The disturbing part is the little shoulder drop they do right before they turn away from you.

Same here. My favorite scene is when he is drunk and punches the camel in the face lol. The war paint with the lines across the eyes look just like the movie paint when he is decked out in white and black stripes.

I believe Arnold is Austrian. That said, the Nord theme of the game means you can expect this kind of accent to be mixed in with the regional theme. Fantasy games do this all the time, combining cultures and accents to mask familiar nationalities. I think it helps actually really sell the theme.

But yeah ...I was thinking the same as everyone else. Since I'm American, I keep telling myself that Arnold sounds like an Austrian, not the other way around

I'm pretty sure one of the voice actors did voice acting for S.T.A.L.K.E.R too. Beside the Arnold impressions quite a few of the nord voice actors are clearly nordic IRL.
