Any idea how to remove arrows and ice shards from your character?

More Arrows/Ice shards works or you can use the console code to remove arrows.

They just eventually go away for me. I had an arrow through my head for about an hour and then poof it was gone later. No new helmet or anything.

You can do anything that makes the game remake your character model. Changing race, or six from the console will do this. Your other option is to get the game to clear your model by getting hit with more arrows or shards and triggering the decay. A third option is to wait for a patch.

For me (PS3 user) putting all arrows from my inventory in a container works, since it seems to count the arrow in my body as one I own

The way to get the arrows removed is to get hit with more arrows. Honestly, it works.

That worked for me as well. More arrows.

Thanks for the advice. On Xbox360 so looks like I get to piss off an Ice mage. Although the shard through the head and ars does give him a well battle tested appearance.

Using a shrine will cure all ilness plus remove arrows etc.

Been to several shrines and they do cure all ailments but they must concider it fashionable to sport ice shards. Looking for frost anarch tome to try and add to the decor.

That bug made me want to claw my eyes out...

What worked 100% for me:

In first person view, find a container, store all your arrows, exit from the container. Stuck arrows should be gone now. You can go back and pick up your arrows.

If you drop your arrows, or do this in third person, it won't work.
