Arrows Speed Seems Stuck To Default Value ?

Hello,

I've encountered a strange problem with my newest Oblivion mod setup.
The arrow seems to be stuck at Vanilla incredibly slow speed. I tried setting speed in Bashed patch loaded last as well, but no luck.

Here's my load order, afaik there are at least two mods tweaking arrow speed in there, OOO and Duke Patrick's archery mod.

Duke Patrick's Combat Archery has total control of arrow speed, and it does it through script, so changing the value in any mod or bashed patch will not have any effect.

edit: you can turn it off in the INI file for the mod, but I think it would have a very large effect on how the mod works.

Oh so it might just be Duke Patrick's mod slowing the arrows due to my low level in archery ? Makes it clearer !

Not so much the low level of your archery, though that might affect it too.

His mod gives different speeds depending on the materials and quality of both the bow and the arrow, I believe.

So, big broadhead iron arrows go really slow (and can actually bounce off of good armor), while elven arrows will fly much faster.

Please read the read me file for the Duke Patrick Combat Archery mod.

It is all explained in the read me file.

With all medieval technology bows (not made with pulleys) more than 75 percent of a bows power is set in the less than the last 25 percent of the draw. If you do not fully draw the bow the arrows will fire at very slow speed and drop like bricks out of the air no matter what arrow you are using.

If you are drawing the bow all the way (unless you change this in the INI you will know the bow is drawn after the sound effects of the bow creaking stop and the bow stops moving upward) then the only reason for really slow arrows would be that the are made with poor craftsmanship (such as goblin made arrows) or poor (heavy) materials.
