Faregyl odd mount / pack-animal behavior update ... TEST ESP results:

I again apologize for the delay. Poor health continues to take its toll on gaming. In fact I just last night returned from a several day hospital stay, during which the source of my complaints was not discovered but a number of quite serious heart ailments (which some of my symptoms suggest) was definitely ruled out. Be that as it may, I felt up to running your Faregyl TEST esp this morning. The result? As you suspect, with the TEST esp in place Vilja's mount stops when it should rather than continue on for some distance. She dismounts when I do, which isn't the case with "normal" Faregyl. Likewise, donkey Groucho no longer walks backward for some distances when following but instead turns and follows walking forward as he should. I did not spend a lot of time in Faregyl for fear I'd forget and save the game with the TEST esp in place. But what I experienced should be enough for your purposes.

BTW, I notice you have a new Faregyl version available for download. I have not yet installed it. Don't know what, if any, changes were make that might render my testing obsolete.

I finished the revenge quest with the update you released. It worked the way it should.

I found Feldscar now, so I'll be working my way through that as well.

It had no bearing on this part. A theory then since the trigger zones seem to be the issue. There are 3 files in meshes\dungeons\misc\triggers. Try replacing those with the original vanilla versions of the files if you've done any PyFFI runs. Could be that these files need to be skipped but I'd like to know that for sure before filing a bug report on it.

Loaded 5287 - Bendu Olo - The Testing Hall, Level 40, Playing Time 384.49.51.ess
Then I coe to [-1,-1] and walked toward cell [2,0]. No CTDs when I entered the cell!

Does Faregyl_Village touch anything in cell [2,0]?
In TES4Edit Faregyl conflicts with the bgBalancingEVOptionalNPCDiversity, Beautification.esp for 3 NPCs. But, I don't know if that's causing the problem.

Not in cell 2,0, no. That's the cell for the Nenyond Twyll ruin. It obviously does however edit things heavily in many of the cells immediately east of that ruin. Are you able to actually go to the village itself?

The only 3 NPCs that could cause issue would be Alix Lencolia, Abhuki, and the potato cat. I have no idea what that RBP plugin is doing though since I don't use that mod. If you can get to the village or into the inn though, then they're not the issue since they spend all their time close to or inside the inn.

Speedyg869, should be able to just disabled and uncheck bgBalancingEVOptinailNpcDiveristy under Npcfaces tab and rebuilt patch. Since all it does is reassign their race, eyes and hairs.. that should restore them back to Vanilla and what perhaps you changed on those Npcs. To verify the problem is RBP or Faregyl Village or something else..

Only thing I changed on them was to add them to the village faction I created, and to give Alix and the potato cat some new AI routines.

Yes, in fact before going to the Testing Hall to isolate problems, I had saved in the Faregyl_Village Inn.

OMG knowing there exists a "potato cat" makes me want to immediately go back to Faregyl and explore thoroughly. Unfortunately being disappointed is kind of inevitable now that I'm picturing, like, a cat that is also a potato; the reality is probably far more mundane. But oh man... potato cat!!!!

Try approaching that cell from the Faregyl Inn.

Also I was incorrect when I said earlier that "I had saved in the Faregyl_Village Inn.". It was the Halfway Inn. I was working on a quest from Integration of the Stranded Light.

What about somewhere further east? Inn of Ill Omen for instance, or Clavicus Vile's shrine? Somewhere far enough from the area that you can still walk toward the village approaching from the east instead of from the west.

Then I coe to 3,0 and the game froze while loading. I also loaded a save at Nenyond Twyll. Then I walked to cell [3,0] and after I entered cell [3,0], my game froze. So the problem it can't me related to Faregyl. Now I'm back to square one.

I immediately got the Princess Bride references in the mods, but it could partially be an age thing. Those of us over a certain age probably have greater awareness of the movie. It came out around 1987 and I remember the movie well, but there are many on these boards who weren't even born at the time. :)

Both my kids know all about it, it seems to have had a revival in the last 10 years among teenagers. They were both complaining about how the one actor who also had a role in that cats v. dogs movie didn't say inconceivable all the time.

I'm wondering about the red welkynd stones that the Faregyl mod adds to some the dialogue of some NPC's after the first run through Darcy mine. Does this mean there are red welkynds added to the game?
