Artist/Level builder/clutterer LFG

Post » Mon Oct 25, 2010 3:11 am

I'm a work-from-home artist working in Graphic Design, Flash, 3D modeling/texturing and 3d/2D animation and I'm looking for an existing 'solid' team to join or start up. I've been working in the GECK for a while so I feel comfortable in it though there's always more to learn and I'm not so hot with the scripting part -I'm more focused on building and cluttering. I *LOVE* building and cluttering and lighting and ambiance. L.O.V.E IT to death and can't get enough of it! So I really would like to serve up my efforts towards a good and grounded team of people currently working on or starting up any environment mods with new interiors, quests and a generally expanded gameplay experience - I tend to stick with the low-light, creepy, underground/interior stuff. So if you have a lot of that, I'm the guy for joo!

I've just recently gotten back into the GECK so here are some screens on something I've been doing to get my act together and reacquaint myself:

I realize it's tough to establish much from static screenshots but I hope it helps shed a little light. I would be willing to send you the esp to check it out for yourself if you wish.

A few things I can't do. I have no idea how to animate through the FO3 pipeline. No idea at all, so even though I'd *love* too, I just can't. I don't model guns, I think there are enough of them. I'd prefer to model unique weapons or remodel existing game object into more diverse forms - although my modeling skills are good, my nifskope skills are 'meh'. I can fuddle through basic model/texture replacements but would prefer not to have to do it.

I'm available pretty much 18 hours a day and IM's (msn/yim) are always active and I have plenty of time to devote to the given project and will do so for the right one. All I expect is that the project has a solid foundation and knows where it's going with at least some semblance of a deadline. This is key. I really don't want to get involved with anything flighty - I don't care if you're project is huge or small - as long as it gets my juices flowing then I'm in it for the long-haul. If you've released in the past, all the better!

Anyways, I hope this doesn't go unanswered. I'd really, really love to be a team-player on something that is being done by a dedicated group. Single's are welcome, of course, as long as you have as much time as I do and can do all your own scripting.

Thanks for reading (:

Very nice :)

Normally we get the opposite, people looking for people like you to start a project. There are a few large projects that are definitely going somewhere, so I'm sure someone will have use of you :)

Wow... I love the couch. ^_^

I enjoy creating and furnishing interiors too - but on the other end of the scale. Big hotels, suburban houses, tiny shops... I'm not really into dungeons. I can't model or texture either. :P

Anyway, good luck on your crew hunt. :)

Thank you for the comments and kind words (:

I checked out the suggestions. Project Valhalla looks like it's well underway and in beta so I might be too late for that and URP doesn't look like its up my alley at all.

Even though I love to do creepy stuff, I can still work the 'Wasteland Chic' - Hotels, houses, offices etc... If you need a new space made or a current space tweaked, don't hesitate, I'll GECK for you!
