not only does it take like a very long time to find this stupid thing but it is slow, doesnt have much stamina, disapperes after dismounting it, and is ugly and deformed looking.

The horse's look is a matter of opinion, but it's speed and stamina is the same as every other horse in the game if not better.

I find the appearance to be kinda odd too, but I think it is one of the best horses in the game simply becuase you can summon him. I've gone through 20 horses easily because they always go to attack everything.
One of the best mounts in the game simply for being able to summon whenever you want IMO.
And the stamina/speed I'm pretty sure is the same, didn't notice any difference.

i looked in my strat guide and shadowmere is a level 50 horse with twice normal stamina and health regeneration. so if arvak is just like any normal horse, and normal horses are lvl 4, then why need him when it is time for battle. atleast shadowmere can kick some butt!

Maybe...you svck...

But in all seriousness, it's an undead horse that you can summon whenever you want and disappears when you no longer need it. It may not be nearly as powerful as Shadowmere, but the part I bolded makes up for that, I think.

Maybe you're playing on a character that decided not to do the Dark Brotherhood.

Anyways, I find it annoying when my horse attacks enemies.

Or an archer ...

But Arvak is amazing and how can you think he looks weird? He's a bad ass undead summon-able mount. (Also if you get off Arvak while near hostiles he will actually go and fight them and it doesn't matter if he dies cause you can just summon him again)

that reminds me when you fight a dragon and accidentally hurt a townfolk, same story, sad. At least with a bow the hitbox is smaller but with the fireball .... man
harvak is cool ... a matter of opinion i guess

I wouldn't say he svcks, I just think he is a complete let down compared to the awesomeness of shadowmere

The horse looks awesome and the fact it vanishes is good.

You have a horse that never dies, never goes missing and never gets in your way.
He's perfect and totally worth the few minuets it takes to find him.

You can take Arvak to places where shadowmere cannot go.

It takes like a minute to find his skull if you know where you're going. Or get lucky.

Anyways, he's an undead, glowing horse that you can summon where ever you want.

And of course he's deformed, he's a damn skeleton.

He's better than shadowmere,he can never die,he disappears after dismounting(he won't attack anyone) and you can summon him so he never gets lost. And he looks awesome.

Oi don't insult my undead horse!

Also Arvak is great for necromancer characters and personally I prefer using him because he can be summoned whenever I want and requires little magicka to actually summon

Judging by everything I just read it seems that Arvak is truly the superior horse to Shadowmere. Of course, I had to make a decision whether to keep Shadowmere or get Arvak. I chose Arvak, frankly because... ITS AN UNDEAD HORSE!! With BLUE FLAMES ON IT!!! You seriously don't think that's awesome then...well...I'm surprised.

After I made my decision I murdered Shadowmere. Sad I know we had good times together but I only stick with one mount. No more, no less...

Where is his skull? I've looked throughout a while now and I just can't find it.

He's undead insta-horse... what did you expect him to look like?

And the bonus is that while his speed is right in between Shadowmere and every other horse in the game, he can never ever die.

If he fades, just summon him again and you're good to go.
