I started over three different times i get to bleak falls barrow everytime and arvel is dead on the ground and i can't get the golden dragon claw to complete part of my quest and i'm pretty sure i need this quest to continue the game.

I've also tried using the item cheat to add the claw to my inventory but it doesn't update the quest nor work on the puzzle door. I've also sunken almost 375hrs in game play from making several characters would this cause bugs to appear from spending this many hours on the game ?
