All of which they have racial bonuses in; their medium armour expertise gives them;
While another racial bonuses covers;
The quote I quoted was taken from this page, if you would take the time to read it. Quoting more of it.
Anyhow, don't get me wrong about frivolous. But I think it's obvious that by that example, the point was that the races should be given their lore characteristics in-game. As for details like their gating or length of limbs or miles per hour, the loremasters, the ones who actually wrote the lore can implement them as they wish them to be.
I read it. It's something I've read many times before. I spend a lot of time reading Elder Scrolls wiki pages. Hehe.
I understand what you're after, but I think the compromise; while a little less diverse than Skyrim, doesn't at all make it lore breaking.
No, not lore breaking but I am a svcker for that extra flavor. Cosmetics are great, but the 'feel' somewhat lacks without 'tangible' properties.
Allowing the player to chose the racial set for the race would be awesome. As of now I am preping to see a lot of kitty kats because of carnage. Does any other racial match up to 15% crit damage bonus ?
Everyone thinks this [censored] is da bomb. But it's not that great on paper. The aren't stupid. The life on hit of the imperials for example, is much better than it looks. Breton nightblades will be great as well. etc etc...
Call it whatever you want. You are quoting my post and setting up statements I never made to knock down.
We have "lore" in our own world claiming such things. Thankfully, most of us have moved on and realized that trying to place such blanket traits over an entire race is a stupid idea. Sorry, but I will take a more realistic world and immersion over outdated ideas. If you prefer to enforce racial stereotypes for the sake of "lore", good for you.
Don't try and overanolyze who won the argument when there are no arguments
Anyway, I see that you can care less about the lore.
I hold lore very highly and I believe it is a source of immersion and a realistic tes world.
If you believe lore hurts immersion and is outdated then, as I said, good for you.
Gender based diversity is a incredibly sensible topic, especially since you put a game out in a online environment where countries can either look away, be fine with it or cause an uproar on different things (blood in video games in germany for example).
Considering the years of constant bombardment that both sixes are equal, a bomb like gender based diversity would literally cause an uproar that would be so to the point of hilarious considering other worldly matters.
Humans... funny thing. One century they're revolutionizing the world, the other they complain about entertainment restrictions while wars & hunger kill millions....
Still the toughest sorcerer could be a nord, the most specialized a dunmer, with the biggest repertoire an imperial, the most damaging an altmer and the most versatile and against others, a breton. You get the point. Too sleepy to do more examples. And pve/pvp adjusted so that all have their uses.
I think you hit the nail on the head with this, it is exactly what MMOs need. Your race has a higher natural chance to be good at something but any race with enough effort can max as well. Obviously you will start out weaker but the true uniqueness(or at least very rare) of certain race and class combos which many players seek will be attainable and rewarding. Heck, even change racial passives to religious passives and then let any race adopt them.
IDK, just bored and brainstorming here
I'm not over-anolyzing anything. Making up statements someone didn't say is flat-out disrespectful. I'm simply calling you out on it. It is your choice if you want to acknowledge you did so or not, it doesn't change reality.
The argument I am referring to has nothing to do with me, it is your original claim in this thread. I have nothing to win, nor do I wish to. If you want to support that argument, quoting people and putting words in their mouth is not an ideal way to go about it.
And yes, I care about the lore. One doesn't exclude the other.
Yep, I don't mind those racials. I think that the experience lines were a good way to show racial identity without impacting overall gameplay.
