Ask Us Anything: Variety Pack 12

I still think that the Imperial skill line (including a new ultimate ability) is unique content that should not exist outside of subscription.

I am not even going to mention the Exp bonus that is mandatory for any competitive players looks for world first bragging rights (even if you don't plan doing that or even enjoy that, its certainly part of the MMORPG community and culture a lots of people enjoy following that).

^ This.

Even the crafting perks are easily visible on some Zeni-supported fan sites. the veil is coming off and good riddance, it's time for people to stop hiding behind the "we don't know anything yet" defense.

With less than two months left until the game launches that defense is childish, as they might never drop the NDA.

SInce they have been pretty much the only outlet allowed to post beta stuff that is ok'd by ZoS? Essentially what is released there is ofiicially ok'd by ZoS to be shown.

Since the lead game designers was a guest on the TF hosted podcast and since ZOS was the source they got their skill lines from.

"Zeni-supported" is not official. It also doesn't make the source any more reliable.

That said, you're looking through a very narrow lens. Take, for example, your "Can an Altmer be anything but a mage?" question. According to the list of skills that people have posted online, yes, their skill set could be helpful for a number of classes. Magicka regeneration will affect how often you are able to use all your class skills, not just magic spells. So an Altmer Nightblade will be able to use their skills in more rapid succession than a Nightblade without any passive magicka regen abilities.

Keep denying. You have no ground to stand on. Like I said before, the exact numbers and stuff may not be officially set in stone. But anything containing "game news" released on TF has been given a GO by ZOS. Why does it take two people to tell you this?

Not just the numbers are not there, some of the skills on the tamriel foundry are WRONG.

Source? Who knows...

They are still tuning the skill system and the foundry just cant keep up with all the changes.

If you think there is anything official i dont know how to convince you otherwise.

If players are worried about racial skills I suggest looking at previous TES games and go from there.

You think saying it like this doesn't mean breaking NDA? The skills posted there are a one time post, from a one time rease from ZOS to TF. Of course they are not updated..

So if they are not even updated how can you take them as official?

And arent YOU breaking the NDA by claiming the skills on the foundry are official?

How do you know they are? ;)

I think you're very confused about how information is posted on fansites.

There is no Zenimax employee leaking the information, and there is no one giving them an official thumbs-up when they post. Tamriel Foundry can post whatever they like, but unless they're directly quoting the developers, assume that the information is not verified.

At the time they were posted rhey were official. That should be clear. Sure they may not be 100% correct anymore but the one time release remains official.

Actually to post stuf covered by the nda and not get the site shut down, ZoS has to give the official Ok to do so.

Funny then that lots of their info comes from podcasts or interviews between ZOS and TF.

FYI. The Skill Lines on Elder Souls have been reported numerous times for being NDA breaking or at least they were not sure if they have been forced to remove them yet or not. So pointing out where to find NDA leaks isn't exactly a smart thing to do.

This just doesnt make sense.

If they are not even done CRAFTING THE GAME there can be nothing official regarding the skills.

Its all leaks, more or less "unseen" by Zenimax.

I think you and others really don't understand what the term 'official' means. Por favor:
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/official?s=t

"authorized or issued authoritatively". In other words, they were given permission to do so, and such was the case with TF's skill lines. It does not mean that they have to be correct.

Prima's official guide on Skyrim for example has multiple mistakes. The thing has the word "official' printed on the cover.

Surprisingly, a number of sites have been able to get away with it without being shut down. Don't know how.

You do know that even official statement straight from ZOS has changed right? So nothing can ever be official because it can all change. If specific info is ok'd to be shown by ZoS then it is official, even if it changes at a later date.

True there have been, at the same time, I've seen sites shut down for days because of breaking the NDA on this game.

Maybe you should look up the difference between official and permanent.
