I'd like to make it known the only reason there were multiple threads of that topic that I made on these forums back in 2008 was because the forum software glitched and double-posted a topic. It was inappropriate, but it wasn't a floodspam inappropriateness.

That joke aside, I know being a mod is a thankless job, so how does it feel when someone is being polite to you guys at all?

The majority are nice and understanding if we have to contact them, this is a great community but occasionally we are faced with a torrent of abuse - and deal with it appropriately.

Not a mod, but pretty sure it is because many of Bethesda's games from when this forum started were rated T. Morrowind was rated T, for example.

What I hate to break to the people who do the insults/your mother/raging/name-calling is that it really doesn't work. They end up with a warning, and we go on to the next problem. If a poster does go too far out of bounds, all the mods review it and discuss the best course of action. If something is really a problem, it goes to Gstaff or JFinst to deal with.
