Ask Todd Howard About Skyrim

Post » Wed Mar 02, 2011 1:53 am

I asked him a question a question of how the quest markers will work in Skyrim and gave a little suggestion in case the devs didn't do it that way and think that they may want to rework their system if the way I explained sounded good to them

How much you want to bet that the lamest questions get answered?

Sadly the questions that will get answered have already been answered or nobody really gives a **** except the guy who asked.
Or their question was so obvious to answer that their such an idiot they should have been able to figure out.

Only decent question I saw on there was the whole grab button question and how it has been improved or taken out.

I made an attempt to play Marrowind and Oblivion but quickly lost interest. But Fallout 3 almost instantly become one of my all time favorite games. What aspects of Skyrim would you say could appeal to a gamer like me who associates more with a theme closer to modern day? Are there any gameplay formulas or aspects used in Fallout that we'll see in Skyrim?"

What an idiot.

I gave him a passive aggressive reply

I'm not surprised with the questions asked.

1/3 doesn't have to do anything with Skyrim but with Fallout or other Bethesda games.
1/2 is already answerd in the hub features.
Leaves 1/6 that won't be answered :P

From Andrew Reiner's twitter :

@DoesNotHappen Please tell your community to think long and hard about these questions. We won't have much time with him.

@DoesNotHappen You guys have been great. We'll try to cover as many of your questions as we can.

Typed a relatively long post regarding potential travel services, handplaced loot/non-levelled artifacts and the Dwemer architecture but never found it again once I submitted it :(

So far there has been ZERO mention of attributes. We've heard about skills and the fact that there's no birthsigns. NOTHING on attributes. I really want to know if they're in or out.

Me either, but don't worry, I reckon they're screening it. They'll pop up eventually.

I asked about Oblivion-style shortcuts, whether races will still matter without attributes, multiple-paths questline, warring/interacting factions, and whatever he could tell us on writing - dialogues, in-game books (there's been no update on that!).

Hope it's all right with you guys. Otherwise I suppose GI allows for delete.

I want to know the difference between Dragon Shouts and magic in Skyrim.

I already asked this but everyone else ask it too. They might be picking the most popular questions. Ask about crossbows and spears too :)

To get more specific about beast races, I want to know how detailed they are. Are they more on the beastly side or the humanoid side. I'm not really talking about Morrowind or Oblivion, but Skyrims own interpretation of the beast races.

I mentioned them.

Ah wait, I thought you were talking about the comments in the GI article. Nevermind.

Just type up a real short summary of each of the things. It may be worth it.

probably the fact that the effects will be different. I heard about one that you could call a dragon with. I don't think magic allows that (in-game anyways)

perhaps a torrent of questions is causing comments to appear later? Or like someone said they could be screening
