Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Anyone notice the coordinates at the end of The Da Vinci Disappearance?

+43°39'19"N , +75°27'42"W

It is a location in New York by the Canadian border by a town called Turin.

The artifact Shroud of Turin was mentioned in AC2. It's another Piece of Eden... Apparently it can revive the dead and heal the wounded but with side effects (Lucy?)

Also, at the end of The Da Vinci Disappearance the people you hear while Desmond is in a coma say they found the temple. So, either the Assassins or the Templars got Desmond, I say the Assassins, since you hear the name William during the DLC, who is another Assassin that Lucy is emailing throughout Brotherhood.

Here's the whole page on it if anyone wants to read up, its rather lengthy.

Hope we visit South America in one of the games to get the Crystal Skulls (also Pieces of Eden)

Sorry I only got Assassin Creed 2. I'm still confused by what AC2 trilogy? There are 3 installments for AC 2? The story I read started off of them folks running away from the Templar hiding in an archaelogical compound in Rome. Which part is it? When I preordered it Steam said it's going to be the Deluxe edition.

Theres Assassin's Creed 1, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassins Creed Brotherhood (2.5), and now theres going to be Assassin's Creed: Revelations

I'm not sure what this assassin's creed 2 trilogy means.

What you described sounds like Brotherhood to me.

actually its the trilogy meant for assassin's creed 2 series.

assassin's creed 2
assassin's creed: brotherhood
and finally the upcoming release, assassin's creed: revelations

because all three are from Ezio's story

since that made sense, AC3 will be another age and another assassin character

I mainly need to play this one because of the 'what the hell' ending that brotherhood had. Honestly, my interest in this series has really dwindled since the first. I never even played the second game.

Shaaaaaaame! AC2 is so good! :P

So it's not AC 3 but AC 2.75? :sadvaultboy:

Correct.

It's very interesting indeed, though I already posted this on the fourth page. I must admit I don't really like Lucy but it'd be awesome to actually get to see/use the Shroud in the games.

Mikedzines and ReaversEdge are right. I called it the 'Assassin's Creed II Trilogy' in the first post because it otherwise seemed to confuse people, thinking Revelations is ACIII or that AC1 is part of said trilogy. I'm not sure what part you mean with the story starting in an archealogical compound in Rome. With folks you mean Desmond plus gang? Brotherhood starts with Ezio still in the vault under the Vatican in Rome where he and Mario indeed have to run from guards. Did you mean that part?

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

God knows how many sequels AC3 will span across. I bet they're saving it for next gen consoles.

Next consoles probably, yes.
Quoting from the Assassin's Creed wiki page:
Some Ubisoft Montreal's developers stated in their interviews that Assassin's Creed III will be released eventually. The game will introduce a new character in an entirely new setting. There has been much speculation about possible settings of this game. Corey May stated that Assassin's Creed III will not take place during World War II. No other official information has been yet announced. Jean-Francois Boivin of Ubisoft stated that each numbered title in the franchise will introduce a new lead character and a new setting. Patrice Désilets, former series' creative director, said that the series has always been planned as a trilogy. He also commented on the story of Assassin's Creed III, saying that it will focus on Assassins' quest to prevent the end of the world in 2012 and their race against time to find temples built by "Those Who came Before". Desmond would have to search for clues on locations of these temples by exploring memories of his other ancestors. Asked about future of the series, Sébastien Puel from Ubisoft said that "[...] we could do 35 of these [Assassin's Creed games]".

I asume the trilogy mentioned in there is actually ACI, ACII and ACIII, and not *this* trilogy of ACII, Brotherhood and Revelations. I'm not sure how accurate the above is though, as it was posted wen Brotherhood was still in the making.

And do you play TES? And do you complain about that? If not then wake up, AC combat is what I want TES to be, it's faaar better :P

well i play modded oblivion and morrowind where i have much less health and much higher weapon damage so it only takes a couple of hits to kill me. if your referring to vanilla oblivion that yeah i agree that it svcks balls.

my problem with assassins creed 1 and 2 (didnt bother with brotherhood after watching some youtube videos) is that combat is ridiculously easy. guards surround you but for the most part just stand there and do nothing while you chain attacks. once in a while they will strike at you but its only one at a time and very infrequent. its stupid. its also way to easy to hide in that game. i hid from guards by jumping up on top of a lightpost in front of a building and was literally in plain view of them in broad daylight only a few feet above them and all that i was standing on was a wooden beam that wasnt wide enough to hide my body from view much less my shadow. its like they designed this game for 9 year olds to play. i just dont see what so great about this series which pisses me off because ive spent over $100 bucks between both of them. they need to get their act together and increase the damage from npcs and/or reduce player health significantly and they need to improve the AI so that if your surrounded by 4 guards then all 4 guards should be attacking you at once. they also need to improve the performance on the PC version. the first game was literally unplayable, the second one was better but still a really crappy port.

as far as stealth games go the Thief games stomp all over these sad excuses. even the parkour is substandard compared to mirrors edge.

AC's combat ain't that great, and I certainly wouldn't say Oblivion's combat was any worse. Infact I'd say it's far move involving.

It was most certainly plenty worse than AC's ,

ACs combat was designed for idiots. its the same thing over and over again. you run up to a bunch of guards they surround you and then proceed to each take one jab at you and each guard takes a turn. i could count the number of times i had more than one guard attacking me at once on one hand. it was pathetic. it is by far the stupidest combat i have ever played. even in minecraft all the enemies attack you at once. i realize its not fair to compare any game to the epicness of minecraft but if some indie developer can figure it out why cant the AC developers.

as for oblivions combat that was because of level scaling. once you modded it (and everyone that could modded that game) oblivion combat was waaaaaaaay better.

Added. X3 Hm, I'm not sure what to think about Ezio's new love interest to be honest. I had prefered it to be Caterina. I have difficulties warming up to female characters I guess, I didn't like Rosa either (though I did like Cristina). Ah well. Maybe she'll be alright.

Yeah I 100% agree with this, Cristina was by far my favourite, but it seems Ubi are keen to point out that at this point age is beginning to catch up on Ezio and while he is still nimble and strong as ever he is now tossing around thoughts of settling down for a family

Dunno, they keep changing the Assassin outfit design but I think they are going for something cold and wintry to fit the theme, as shown with all the fur clothing. I think that's a different armour it's just the suit style is all

True. I think that just how Ubisoft showed how Alta?r continued his bloodline with Maria, they want to show how Ezio continues his as well. Though personally, I think Ezio already has a ton of nameless kids running around Roma and Venezia, the skirt hunter that he is. :P

He's in his fifties. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y59/Karioudo/oldezio.jpg?t=1305746048

It's a new set of armor.

Looking forward to this game, I've loved all the games so far (minus Brotherhood's multiplayer, it was okay but a bit... iffy). I remember freaking out and crying for an answer to Brotherhood's cliffhanger.

Cool. I recently "finished" 2. (Not 100%) I then bought Brotherhood within an hour of finishing 2 and have since "finished" it as well. (Took me 3, 8+ hour days to run through AC:B with 97% completion. Or was it 95%?) Very fun series, if you can get past the first one. Comparing AC to AC:2/Brotherhood makes AC look like a demo not a full game. (Deliberate over exaggeration, though not by much. :P) I love all the improvements since AC. It really felt like half a game. Over all though, I payed $65 (Can.) to play all 3 and am very pleased with the series, especially at that price. (AC I borrowed from a friend. I bought AC:2 & Brotherhood. I intend to buy AC so I have the complete series at some point though. $5 at the local pawn shop. So $70 for the series to date.)
