It's important that the ringfinger on the left hand is amputated. This will prevent clipping issues with the finger and the wristblade. That's the reason why it was amputated in Assassins Creed too. It's also somekind of distinctive feature which shows that you're a member of the assassins brotherhood.
I see. After making the post I looked up the missing finger and apparently it was never explained in the game, only in an interview about the game. Guess that's why I don't remember it. Thinking back I kind of remember thinking something was off when looking at his hand, but I just figured it was how he activated the hidden blade, that is he used his ring finger to release it. I can understand cutting off the finger as an initiation, but for the hidden blade it's rather stupid. Simply rotate the hidden blade 90 degrees and your fingers wouldn't get in the way. Now of course the hidden blade not being flat against the wrist would be rather conspicuous (assuming someone actually bothers to look at strangers hands and has any idea of what something could mean...), but that could be solved by simply using a hidden blade with equal depth and width (something like a needle) or by having more padding over the hidden blade and gloves so that the oddity of the hidden blade being rotated eventually disappears into the added bulk. The extra padding would also have an added benefit of more protection, but I digress this has little to do with you and your mod. It's just that after searching about Altair's missing finger the reasons given for it are rather lame. In any case it's really no big deal and if there's clipping issues with the finger attached then so be it, the quality of the mod is very good and leather gloves match well should I want the finger back.
Lol, I made that much more complicated then it needed to be. Simply attach the hidden blade to the wrist and bend the wrist up when deploying the blade and no extremities would get in the way. Heck the blade could be deployed by bending the wrist upwards as well. Sorry, I'll shut up about this now.
Also, is there a way to assassinate people using the fist knife thinger?
No sorry. It's unfortunatly just visual.
I wonder if it could be scripted to act like the neck stab from Deadly Reflexes?
