Assault rifle replacement help

I'm trying to replace the vanilla R91 Assault Rifle with the CAR-15 in http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3571 mod. I replaced the mesh, textures and sounds by copying and renaming Xzax's CAR-15 files to the corresponding g3assaultrifle files. Problem is, I did that without realizing the CAR-15 uses the Chinese Assault Rifle mesh and animations. Here's a video of the results:

How do I assign the Chinese Assault Rifle's animations to the Assault Rifle?

I was confused until I looked it up. The G3 is the same thing as the R91, the gun that's just called "Assault Rifle" in the game.

Noted and changed first post.
The textures, meshes, and sounds in the BSA files refer to it as g3assaultrifle.

I figured that's what it was. Also the image on the wiki refers to it as G3, but the article itself refers to it as R91. So it appears to have 2 names for some reason.

To change it to the G3 assualt rifle animations, open up nifskope and copy the NiTriStrips data from the custom assualt rifle over the vanillas. Then make sure you have to textures set right.

Also it would be better to just change the model in the geck, just in case poeple no longer want the new assualt rifle.

1. You close NifSkope
2. Open the GECK
3. Locate the Chinese Assault Rifle and double click it to bring up the edit options.
4. CHANGE THE EDITOR ID
5. Change the model to use the M16A1 model
6. Click OK and Click YES to make a new object.
7. Go down to STATICS and make a new object using the same M16A1 model
8. Go back to your newly created weapon from steps 3-6
9. Change the 1st Person model to your static model you made in step 7
10. Place your newly completed weapon in the game world.
11. ???
12. Profit?

If you are looking to completely replace the Assault Rifle with the M16A1:
1. Close NifSkope
2. Open GECK
3. Locate the Chinese Assault Rifle and open the edit options.
4. Take not of the Attack Anim and Hand Grip it uses.
5. Open the Assault Rifle edit options.
6. Change its Attack Anim and Hand Grip to that of the Chinese Assault Rifle.
7. Change the Model to that of the M16A1.
8. Find the Assault Rifle static object it uses for the 1st Person model and change that to use the M16A1 model.
9. ???
10. Profit?

Theres no need for a first person static. Just set the first person static to none.
