"Assign X dwellers to the right room" bugged now?

It used to be that when you got a new dweller (births, lunchboxes, or radio room), and moved them to the "right" room for them, it would count toward the objective. Now it doesn't (although I don't own a radio room this time, I've tested births and lunchboxes). I only get credit when I move a dweller I already had when I got the objective. As it wants me to assign 30 dwellers to the right room, and I didn't have 30 dwellers in the wrong room or in the wasteland when I got it, is it impossible now? Or is there a trick to make it work?

You had better skip this.

To prepare for this, I always have the dwellers in the "wrong" room. My main vault is easy now, as there is more than 170 full stat. I dressed them in mixed stat outfits, (e.g. S3E2). When I need the right, put a 5 or 7 on it and put in the "Right". Most of the times it counts.


When the dwellers stat is low, it sometimes not count. So this objective is very hard at the beginning.

How i do it all the time.


you have for example 6 dwellers in power room (STR) and wearing STR armor.


I gear them up with another stat armor, eg +3 INT and move em to a INT required room. boom it works all the time.



TIP: i have my dwellers at 10/10 Special and everyone is already at a room working with the correct armor on him accordingly.

The easiest way I've found to accomplish this is to drag anyone who already has endurance as their highest stat to a storage room, if they are full SPECIAL I make sure they have an END stat piece of clothing on before dragging them. Although now with the explorer limit this has become harder, most of my storage rooms are already stocked with people since there are no other rooms for them to go to so I have to switch people around which is more of a pain.

This objective is simple if you have "extra" level 1 dwellers around. ie waiting at vault door (radio rooms) and grownup offspring of vault dwellers.


Create power, water, food, storage and radio rooms.



The right room is found when you drag the dweller to a room where all 4 corners of the room turn green (rather than stay yellow).



After assigning the "extra" dwellers, I start moving SPECIAL training dwellers to production rooms to finish the objective; drag them back into the training room once thats done.
