Re-assign perk points?

Should we be able to re-assign our perk points?

Simple question, very important answer.

Please no. Now that would be a bad design decision.

I guess it would be okay. In Dragon Age, they had this thing called the Manual of Focus, or something of that nature. It basically allowed you to completely remake your character.

No, you should be forced to accept the consequences of your decisions.

Or maybe they can just sell an Elixir of Reassigning Perks DLC for $9.99 (each bottle costs 9.99 IRL)

well that's probly a good idea cuz what if you make your guy with perks to be really good at fighting but then you change your mind and want him to be really good at magic instead? SOmeone on here told me that you can't get all the perks on one guy so you won't be able to get all the really good perks for magic and fighting and being a thief. So you need to be able to change them if you want to so you can make your guy better at something else like if you want to use only magic to fight when you do the mages guild even though you only used weapons when you did the fighters guild so that's what perks you picked then. I know it's not called the mages guild and fighters guild in Skyrim but what ever they call those groups now lol.

Im against it. But, as long as I don't have to use it I suppose it would be okay.

I didn't see the thing about a DLC for it I didn't mean that was a good idea lol just that changing your perks is. But a DLC for it could be a good idea just not that much money like maybe 400 MSpoints or something.

I think it's pretty simple why classes are flawed. They're restrictive.

So "restrictive" is a bad thing, except when it's a good thing?

Catching a whiff of cognitive dissonance here.

What's going to be really funny is if they announce that you can reassign perk points. ;)

But If you play alot of time with one guy and make him really good it would be easier to change the perks when you want to do different things then starting a whole new guy.

If you invest that much time in a character to where you're that advanced in the perk tree, you shouldn't realize 20 hours later you made a mistake. You should know relatively early.

This completely....Allowing you to change your perk set would just destroy any feeling of consequence choosing your perks has for the game. I think you should have to make a new character.

But if you can't get all the different perks with one guy then you probly can't be good at magic and fighting and thief stuff even though you could be good at everything with one guy in Oblivion. So that's not fair so you should be able to change them later if you want to.

Sorry, but what? Not fair? Playing for 50 hours and choosing 30 combat perks only to realize you want to be a Mage is absurd.

Im not sure if youre being serious or not now. Giving you a limiting number of the perks is the whole point of it. Making you choose youre path.

I'm serious I just don't explain things to good sometimes. You know in Oblivion you could get all your skills really high all with one guy right? Well if in Skyrim you get good at things with your perks then you can't do that. So if you can't do that I just think you should be able to change them after so then it's kind of the same thing. I think that makes more sense now?

Frankly, I would be happy if I am allowed to delay selecting a perk until a little later, saving up my perks until I am ready to make a final decision on my playstyle.

Exactly. I mean, if they let you reset perks they might as well let you choose more than 1 every level. Why not include Scrolls that allow you to freely unlock a chain of perks? No.

Part of the fun IMO is having to make some difficult choices when you level up.

If there is "Perk Z" that I really want, but first I have to get Perk "X" and Perk "Y" to unlock it, it feels like the game is more balanced and I have to consider my decision carefully, when there are lots of awesome perks to choose from, including choosing between focusing more on Mage perks or Thief perks, etc.

Maybe that would be better then if you can pick two every level so that way you can get more.

And that's exactly what one of the biggest problems in Oblivion was. It didn't matter what you started out as, in the end one character ended up being pretty much the same as the last one you played. With only being able to take a limited number pf perks, you're going to end up with unique characters each time you play the game. You'll be forced to make real decisions about how you want your character to evolve, not just be able to spam every skill in the game.

So that's not fair so you should be able to change them later if you want to.

Why? If I decide my character is going to focus on being a fighter for the first half of the game, why should I be able to suddenly become a master Mage? You should be forced to make a decision and stick to it. If you decide you want to try something different, then you can start a new game with a new character.

but BOotySweat you didn't have to do that in Oblivion so I don't think you should have to in Skyrim cuz it's probly less fun if you can't do everything.
