Assist People of Haafingar (5/5)
This message is stuck in my Quest Log and will not be complete. Will turning in another Quest (like The Wolf Queen Awaken) help take this bug away?
I'd hate to have to use a Console, I'm afraid of repercussions.. help


I apparently helped 5 people of Haafingar (Solitude) before completing The Man Who Cried Wolf. After turning that in, Elisif the Fair sent me to the Shrine of Talos. After I completed that & talked to her about becoming a Thane, this quest was added to my Log and would not go away. I have yet to talk to Styrr and start The Wolf Queen Awaken nor have I talk to Sybille Stentor for a quest to clear Pinemoon Cave. Will completing one of those after talking about becoming a Thane solve the issue? or should I complete those before talking to her? I don't know what to do now..


The Wiki (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Thane_of_Haafingar) said to "select a NPC in Solitude and enter the console command 'setRelationshipRank player 2' This should update the quest 6/5 and change its status to complete". Can I just actually complete a quest for other people instead?

You've helped the people, but have you bought a house? You typically need to do both in the "larger" holds like Solitude, Markarth, Whiterun. Windhelm and Riften.

Once you've done both, she should name you a Thane and the quests will be removed. You may need to do the Wolf Quest first, not entirely sure.

Just do another favor. Sell some crops or wood in the hold for easy accomplishment.

I had this problem. Help one more person.
For me this bumped the counter to 6/5, after which the entry disappeared.

No, I meant the small fetch quests you do for the townspeople. Like getting the beggar's helmet back, that sort of thing. The Wolf Queen quests aren't part of that.

Will turning in Firewood to Horgeir at Dragon Bridge works? or is there a place with in Solitude city that accepts Firewood?
I only have few quests left that has not been done: No News is Good News (Angeline's Aromatics) & Pinemoon Cave Clearing (Sybille Stentor). Will any of these work too? I don't think I can do the Amulet of Talos quest because the headless body is now gone, I actually was right by the stand the whole time of the execution, but the body isn't there anymore.

The No News quest for Angeline definitely works.

No News is the one I did that cleared it.
For the Amulet of Talos, go find the body in the Halls of the Dead.
The firewood in Dragon bridge counts. Not sure if clearing Pinemoon cave does.
