Assume TES world is real

Post » Wed Jul 07, 2010 12:08 am

So assuming the Elder Scrolls world is real, what kind of person would you be? What class? Would you be a lowly thief trying to survive off ends meet? Or would you be a warrior, protecting people from the guars that pester your city?

This is solely based on what your personality is in real life. Even though I play an assassin in the game, in real life I would be a mage/scholar. I'm very quiet and have a great interest in the arts, most especially ancient history and the ways of our ancestors. I would live outside the city in a place where very few people venture to.

How about you fine folks?

Really, my artistic inclinations would probably just make me a mere craftsperson or carpenter, and my real-life skills in woodcraft/whittling and the like would probably come in handy over in Tamriel. Still, if I want to spice things up a bit, I think I'd be a Bard. I'm a very loose person, who is constantly moving from one thing to the next and never likes to be confined to one place or obligated to a single cause. I'd travel the whole of Tamriel, probably with friends of mine, telling tales and writing stories of our adventures. This is an idealistic approach of course, because if we want to think within the context of the games, I'd probably be cut down by a Goblin/Lich/Cliff Racer/Rat within ten seconds of leaving town. :P

This is heresy! This man claims that Nirn does not exist! Watch out so that I do not send the Ord... Darn they dont exist anymore... I mean my bodyguards on you!
I am Lavius Verro, House Cousin in house Hlaalu. I am currently living in the city of Narsis. You can come and visit my manor there if you want, but you will have to ask my guards if you are allowed to visit first.
I am gaining a hefty sum of money by... letting certain persons smuggle their wares out from Morrowind... I mean that I have inherited my money from my uncle. Or someone.
I just love money!
*Throws some money out of the window...*

I usually play an assassin too... Im thinkin I'd prolly be some guy living in a hut alone in the forest, heading to nearby inns for supplies and company when needed. Combat, I'd prolly being using a bow as a weapon, since i'm not much for studying, but i'm not much of and up close and person kinda guy. As far as occupation I'd prolly be drawing and writing stories in my hut, whilst also training my bow skill obsessively.

I'd be either a nordic warrior from Skyrim, or a snobby Altmer mage. ^_^

Probably a mage trying to better understand magic and try to harness it.

Well i'm a pretty outgoing person but i don't think i could pull off being a warrior unless i go gym :P I think i'd be a sneaky, cunning assassin or combination of assassin and warrior a bit like Altair from AC1.

I would be a honest thief.....as long as you keep nothing shiny in my sight.... :ninja:

Or a Ranger. Living in a wooden yurt in the forest, hunting down any would-be highway men and protecting my own patch of wooden paradise.

I would definatly be a mage. Probably a khajiit. Alteration and destruction would be my main schools.

Probably an alchemist or apothecary. I would want to be in Black Marsh somewhere, where there are lots of alchemical opportunities.

I'd be a travelling merchant. I'd travel from Vvardenfell to the Summerset Isles selling my wares, and meeting new people. Of course, with my pack guar. I'd hire a Redguard mercenary to guard me while I travel. I'd a be Dumner, who despises being called a "Dark Elf" of course.

If I ever become filthy rich, I'd go to the Summerset Isles, and train with the mages there. I'd eventually live in retirement in Raven Rock, Solthseim.

That, or I'd be the Redguard mercenary.

Or a crazy Khajiit rambling about "Dragons" and "Multiplayer".

I think I'd like very much to be some mage's apprentice, eventually becoming one myself (assuming this Elder Scrolls version of myself has any magical aptitude). That's the more idealistic approach though. Odds are, I'd be some middle to low class laborer or merchant or what have you. Definitely not an adventurer though; I'd be destroyed by a rat before even exploring my fist cave.

Some mage's apprentice or some traveler of some sort. I couldn't see me do any fighting at all I'm being honest there.

A Khajiit thief with exceptionally good magic abilities
I'd probably be a scout in Elsweyr's army when the call to arms is sounded, but in my free time I would do jobs for the Thieves Guild. I'd most likely wander between Elsweyr, Morrowind and Cyrodril.
I'd be a member of the Hllau (sp) House and would be smarter in politics than i'd look. I'd be light-armored, skilled with a bow and ok with a dagger. I'd spend most of my time in
Solthsteim (sp)
Senchal
and Leyawiin.
Though I'd be in Solthsteim 50% of the time. I'd blend into crowds easy, and would be extremely loyal

Since my greatest regret IRL is that I cannot fly, I would be a Telvanni retainer living high up in my patron's tower and dream of having my own tower to fly up to someday.

I'd be an Altmer mage, specializing in Alchemy and Illusion. I'd probably spend many of my days picking flowers and throwing Calm spells at animals that crossed my path. And I'd spend many of my evenings throwing Charm spells at the ladies. :hubbahubba:

It's been many months since I've last been here, but I am still amazed that this is the first "If you were in Tamriel" thread where there were none of those frighteningly antisocial types who said they'd really want to be assassins. Bravo, people, bravo!

Anyways, I guess I'd be a scout type person, traveling lightly armed with a bow and sword and experienced in alchemy and all that stuff.

I would probably be ranger knight type. Kind of like Aragorn. Good with the sword, bow and arrow, alchemy, and agile :D

Well, my real world position is that of Information Technology Directory. I suppose a TES surrogate would be something along the lines of court wizard or advisor... easily one of the most powerful positions in all of Nirn (just like in real life).

I'm an artisan by circumstance and heredity, so I would probably be working illustrating the archives or the walls in the temples and taverns if I stayed on the mainland. But my heart is for the ice and snow, so I would probably take the first longboat to Solstheim I'm a fair archer in real life, so I would hope I could open a school in Thirsk to train the kids how to hunt and shoot. Also help with the scrollwork and Celtic knotwork in the carpentry. Fair fisher too, so I'd help with the fishing.

Marry a great Thirsk gal, or move to Lokken and help Ingegerd find her missing glove ; ). Maybe open a fletcher shop, and sell cedar bows and arrows of all kinds. Write the sagas, and illustrate them as well. Bounce a dozen or so wee ones on both knees, and work the longboats (the steering board) just to pitch in with the duties of the sea.

a super sneaky ninja mage that devotes his life to enact the will of the nine and has a nice cosy cottage overlooking Bruma because he is the real owner of that town (if anyone disobeys the will of the nine ther they often seem to go on a long vacation). my wife watches over the town for me while on quests for the nine. usually my quests involve attempting to cripple the dark brotherhood and eradicate the use of Skooma

I always play charismatic neutral thieves in any RPG I play, but I'm of course not a thief in real life, but I do possess charisma. ;)

So since I live the life of partying at my city's clubs and work with actors and comedians, I'd be that guy dressed in nice clothes crashing the local tavern anytime I can. Two uppercuts please! :D
