you don't know that. fallout 3s nuka cola lore is messed up, about the nuka cola quantum being ONLY in DC test areas, lol-no. it had to been released in vegas, etc. major cities to test it. Fallout 3 nuka cola lore is [censored] gay. :verymad:

It says on a terminal that Nuka Cola Quantum was in a limited trial release in the D.C. area ONLY. So how is it 'messed up'?

Remember the trailer?

That was reverse pick-pocketing C4 and detonating it to show of some new aspects :P

Oh, yeah. But controlled demolitions seem like a Vegas trope, though.

And i would have expected a quest involving some form of town genocide. A lot of people loved the Megaton quest, so they could have scored some points with Die-Hard Fallout 3'ers who seem to majority hate on New Vegas and the originals. ALSO IM PRETTY SURE SOME CRAZY BASTARD WOULD HAVE CREATED SOME FORM OF EXPLOSIVE IN HIS BAsemanT AIMED AT SABOTAGING VEGAS FOR NOT LETTING HIM IN. :P ??

Based on my PAX threads, I thought that the game would be more "dynamic", because I saw a few ants eating the carcass of a radscorpion. It turns out that it was scripted. I also assumed more Star Trek references when I took Wild Wasteland.

Town Genocide is pretty much what 'Run Goodsprings Run' IS.

Also, I'm content not having generic 'BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA IMMA BLOW CRAP UP BECAUSE IT'S EVIL RULE OF COOL' styled quests.

I thought (before the game came out):
That Goodsprings was gonna be very small, the size of a road.
That Raul was gonna be the first companion I got......he was the last I got!
That the Gatling Laser was gonna be a monster before the big weapon patch.
That I actually got the join factions I side with and take their stuff for free.
That the Enclave were gonna play an important role in this game.
That the Plasma Caster was gonna be automatic.

I have to agree with this.


Also, I - for some reason, and before the relevan info came - thought the Strip was to be much, much bigger and with all the factions (as smaller sections than what they are now) there within their own respective "hubs" and plotting against eachother and Mr. House right at the spot.

That Legion was going to be bigger, that Marcus was gonna be a big bucket of canonizing lore and that Powder Gangers was gonna have a larger part in the wasteland as a raiding gang.

Not really. By post-apocalyptic standards, it's pretty impressive.

What a big let down was I miss the old days where I can go across the D.C. ruins with my mini-gun and have fun with butt-ugly muties....

Instead I gotta go to black mountain....then wait for spawn...then go back again...then wait for spawn. Damn it, I wanna be rushed by like 20 super mutants.

That the game didn't wed the strengths of the Obsidian gang (story telling, dialogue and character development) with Beth's abiliity to build a dynamic and interesting/entertaining gameworld. I don't know why I naively thought that would happen but I thought..yeah...maybe it would. But because that didn't happen the gameworld in NV has been neglected. The baddies are handplaced, the lack of random anything svcks, the number of unenterable buildings pains me. It's a pity. Also, the companions were a disappointment to me. Only Cass comes close to being what I had hoped they would be. I also expected more from the Legion. But they are kind of...stunted and I'm disappointed by too much Brotherhood of Steel. I can barely stand to have Veronica around she blathers on about them so much. Didn't I have enough of them forced down my throat in FO3 with that bossy Sarah Lyons and company?

This. It is a very nice game, but just fails in it's world design.
