not sure if this is the proper place to post this, but here goes... hopefully someone has some information:
so any modification i make to the female body gets retextured as burned astrid body texture.
i've tried replacing the astridbody.dds and astridbody_msn.dds and it hasn't changed anything
is there some way to prevent the textures from being overwritten?
as an example, u can add an extra arm to a character in 3ds max, and then copy textures from the original in nifscope, and it will display properly in-game if saved as malebody_1.nif in skyrim meshes directory.
if you rename the exact same file to femalebody_1.nif and make no other changes, the extra arm will show up as burned skin texture, with rest of the normal body displaying normally.
somewhere along the way, any new added parts saved to a female version get remapped to a burned skin texture, and i don't know how to prevent this
