The Strange Amulet from that murder investigation quest in Windhelm. I refused to sell it to the house of curiosity shop guy because I needed it for evidence. Now it's stuck in my inventory as a quest item and he won't offer to buy it off me anymore.

I had this happen on my first character too. And all of the Bard's college junk. And all of the Briar Hearts. And all of the Runed Lexicons and junk from that daedric quest. On my most recent character I so far only have the Elder Scroll stuck in my inventory, but since I have no intention of joining the Mage's Guild it's staying there.

Why this thread is in Cheats, Hints and Spoilers is beyond me.... but:
Let's give some tips:
Quest items do not encumber.. unless they are stack-able.. (at least they shouldn't.., in rare occasions they might..)
For the amulet of talos being stuck do not loot the execution victim in Sollitude..
For the Briar Hearts.. Make sure not to loot the briar heart at... Red Eagle Redoubt..., better yet do not loot any Briar heart, store all the ones you have.. before doing the White Phial quest. (can be while doing phase 1... but otherwise avoid Red Eagle Redoubt and any Briar Heart if you want to start phase II and want its reward)

For those of you with the stuck amulets of Talos, talk to one of the children in Solitude. She will give you a quest to convince her mother to attend Temple again, and if you do the quest they will stop being quest items and you'll be able to store them again. The quest was bugged for me and wouldn't finish though.

Confirmed this just now, thanks for the tip :tops:

Heavy armor being so heavy, I know it's a bit obvious but I made some daedric armor then realised that alone weights 50 and though screw that I could wear a whole leather set that weighs way less then the one piece.

Soul gems you filled not stacking.

The fact most quest items even though thats all they'll ever be have weights listed when they don't actually add it. Why, just why?

A finely crafted daedric one hand weighing so much more then a heavy, bulky made with poor skill one hand iron sword. By upgrading my gear remaining in the same types I go from an average of 50 units total to 70-80.

Chests lacking tabs for item types and not enough subsections in the first place leading to endless lists.

Chests even if you have one only with armor in, they aren't listed in a proper order meaning if you want to get you ebony set out you'll have to scour the whole thing to find the different parts.
