The Strange Amulet from that murder investigation quest in Windhelm. I refused to sell it to the house of curiosity shop guy because I needed it for evidence. Now it's stuck in my inventory as a quest item and he won't offer to buy it off me anymore.

What a pleasant meal that must have been :P

I'm currently trying to hunt down the rest of the Unusual Gems, although I'm sure it's possible I never will since my character -isn't- joining all the factions. It's... somewhat annoying to have to scroll through all of them. Also, runed lexicon and a couple other weird objects stuck around. I picked that one up because I wanted to use it as a decoration, but I can't drop it unless I use the console *sigh*.

Whichever amulet lets you shorten time between shouts. Akatosh? I have 5 of them. Can't sell 'em or drop 'em.

you can sell it to the Orc Mage that looks after the library in the college of winterhold, if you wish. Of course you need to know dragonrend before you can sell it.

Use Habd's remains at the top of the lighthouse you found them, you'll get a nice treat. I wish I never looted that other Attunement Sphere, I hate multiple undroppable items. Also, why aren't my Stones of Barenziah stacking? I have a stack of 3 which I found before finding out about them, now the rest just take their own space.

Yeah the runed lexicon and the sphere key thing, even after the quest, was stuck for me too. For the stones, just don't get the first one appraised and they will stack on eachother, once appraised they are separated and yes, is quite annoying having to scroll through all of em.

Interesting so maybe if I get them all before asking about them they will stack this time lol.

This is great info. Wish I had known it before. Have to remember for next time.

The stones will stack if you don't talk to Vex about them, as soon as you talk to her and get the quest they'll stop stacking which messes up your misc inventory like filled soul gems do.

Edit: Ups, missed tophermans post. Soz.

An Elder Scroll

After you learn Dragonrend and defeat Alduin, you can take that Elder Scroll to the librarian at Winterhold College, he'll pay you only 2000 gold for it =\

Those undropped talos amulet marks you as a Thalmor Agent. Forever. Like the swastika craved into Landa's forehead at the end of Inglourious Basterds.

I believe you can get rid of Talos amulets. At least, I have. I know I've put at least one in my chest in my Whiterun home, and I'm fairly certain I've sold one before...

But as for stuck items... Elder scroll (although soon it won't be, thankfully), Finn's lute (picked it up before I realized it would break the quest), the tuning things to get the elder scroll, and the freaking stones.

Have 5 amulet of talos that I cannot get rid of. Also an elder scroll but I figured out how to get rid of it. Lastly, I have 3 briar hearts i cant get rid of. No idea how to get rid of the talos and heart stuff.

As for the tuning stuff from getting the scroll, those can be used in other drewmer ruins to unlock stuff. I remember when on my first playthrough i can upon the same contraction as the one you activate to get into blackreach, although I haven't gotten around to going back there now to find out what happens.

Oh and if you're collecting the stones of berahzich, ugh...gotta collect 24 of them and they do not stack in your inventory lol. And yes, i talked to vex and she said "go collect the other 23 before I do anything with them!" <_<

Oh, really? Huh, that's interesting! I'll have to go back and try that. At least those don't weigh anything, unlike that twenty-pound Elder Scroll.

Also, for the Briar Hearts, have you tried using them to make potions? I never realized they were quest items because I used all mine in potions...

I believe, though, the Briar Hearts are part of the Repair the White Phial quest, though I don't know if completing that quest will allow you to get rid of them...

Just find Viola and give the ring to her. Revyn Sadri won't like you anymore, but you won't have to break any laws (My character that did this didn't consider it to be theft, though it is a gray area. It's deceptive, and you do have to break into the house, but it's completely victimless, provided you just plant the ring and leave without taking anything).
