As you know, all continents are supposedly the shattered remains of the dawn-era supercontinent known as Old Ehlnofey or Aldmeris. Yet evidence suggests that before Old Ehlnofey was broken, A(l)tmora existed. The Monomyth says Lorkhan conquered Altmora before shattering Old Ehlnofey, as if they were two separate landmasses. Varieties of Faith in the Empire said that Auri-El established the two kingdoms of Mer, Old Ehlnofey and Altmora. This suggests that Atmora was separate from the other continents (Tamriel, Yokuda, Akavir). What do you make of this?

My interpretation of the Anuad was that Aldmeris was only a kingdom of the settled Ehlnofey, not the entire supercontinent. The Supercontinent would have included everything from Aldmeris, to the Hist lands, to Altmora.
