Before and after? Umm, I'm not really sure. Perhaps Galahaut could clarify what he was thinking of? I think the destroyed siege engine's a fair thing though.

That "rule" would of course be somewhat relaxed for those shots, but anything besides the actual combat was what I was thinking of. The preparation/build-up to the battle, the multiple gates and huge gate :obliviongate: , and yeah, the destroyed engine and such. Also, that specific Oblivion realm (the working siege engine, for example), since I don't recall having any screens from that one.

There we go then. I've never got anywhere close to that stage of the main quest, so I'm not going to be able to get shots of it anytime soon. I'm relying on other people to provide.

Yes, it's back! I'd love some screenshots from these places. I've got Elsweyr installed, but I've only ever got to Riverhold (which funnily enough will probably appear in the next release).

Yep, I don't play very much...

I've noticed there's a problem with the new screens. No bug reports necessary (though if you see it and know how to fix it, please do tell me). I'm on the case and as soon as I work it out, rather than release a bugfix release, I'll probably just release a new version with even more (hopefully working this time) screens or something.

I'm for some reason unable to get the random quotes going. It always appears as original text. (And yes, I'm running the random quotes ESP, and not the original text one.) The images are fine; this only affects written comments. As Vacuity thought on TES Nexus that something else is forcing the original text to appear, I'm posting my loading order. Oh, that's easy. Though I've got to ask why you thought deactivating the mod was a good idea?
By the looks of it you're just importing the graphics from ALS over the Bethesda loading screens, so you're firstly only getting about 300 loading screens in your game as opposed to the 1600+ that have been made, and secondly, you're only getting the loading screen graphics, all the other changes (changing the text, removing location-specificity) is not being implemented.

There's a reason the things marked with the Bash tags it has, you know? Graphics (to make sure the loading screens come through), NoMerge (because otherwise Bash ignores the new screens) and definitely *not* Deactivate.

Vac, I *never* deactivated it. The ESP's Bash Tags haven't been changed. I've got Wrye Bash v283 open now, and it's not marked for Deactivate, just Graphics and NoMerge. I rebuilt the BP after installing it, of course, and made sure Graphics was checked off.

I see where my modlist ESP symbols might lead you to think the ESP's tagged to Deactivate, but it's definitely not showing up as such in the Bash Tags. And I'm not a bumbler. I don't fool around with tags just for the hell of it. I know what each one does, and I've no reason to change any of them for this mod.

So as it's not marked Deactivate, I'm wondering if this is an issue with Wrye v283. 284's not perfect, and I've been holding off for 285. Don't know what else to do at this point. If I remove the "dot" next to the mod, it simply doesn't show up in the Bashed Patch, much as one would expect. If I leave the dot on, I apparently get nothing but a small handful of images. Great.

There's a reason to not assume people who are asking about problems are automatically bumblers who will mess with tags just for the hell of it, you know? ;)

So as it's not marked Deactivate, I'm wondering if this is an issue with Wrye v283. 284's not perfect, and I've been holding off for 285. Don't know what else to do at this point.

Edit: I'm not saying you added a deactivate tag, I'm saying it looks like you deactivated the esp and I don't know why you did that, as the esp would never work properly that way. As I said as well, if you didn't deactivate it, you have my apologies, but Wrye Bash says it's not active in your load order.

Yeah--I was adjusting my post accordingly as you were writing. I think it's probably Wrye, at this point. The ESP's also showing up in black standard print, as opposed to italicized (which is standard, as you know, for Deactivate). I'd put up a note about it, but since folks have moved onto 284, my problem would probably be ignored. Still, can't hurt to report it in the current Wrye thread, so I will.

I don't believe there's any issue with any of the tags, and therefore nothing to report at this stage.

And you still haven't answered whether or not the esp is active in your load order or not? If it's inactive, activate it, rebuild your Bashed Patch and leave the esp active forever. I believe this would solve your problems, assuming the esp is currently inactive.

I don't believe there's any issue with any of the tags, and therefore nothing to report at this stage.

And you still haven't answered whether or not the esp is active in your load order or not? If it's inactive, activate it, rebuild your Bashed Patch and leave the esp active forever. I believe this would solve your problems, assuming the esp is currently inactive.

I thought I'd mentioned above, but probably not clearly. If it's not activated, I get only a handful of the images, but if I activate it, I no longer have the option under the BP options to checkmark it off for graphics. So damned if I do, damned if I don't, in effect. I've been using it inactive, but will activate it now, and do a BP build then run the game, just to confirm this. -Still, the absence of any checkbox under graphics in the BP isn't grounds for much hope.

Oh ho--I installed Wrye 284, and activated your ESP. *Now* the BP options are showing the ESP alongside a checkbox under Graphics...! So now it will probably work.

Then I'll go back to 283, and see if the problem returns. I suspect that was it, then I double-checked what happened in my BP options with activation, before.

Ahh, gotcha now.

In that case, activate the esp, unless you have another mod modifying the vanilla load screens (and I don't see any of the culprits I used to know in your load order) the import graphics feature would be of no effect anyway. Even if you do, what will happen at that point is a few load screens will appear completely as the other mod wants them to be, but you'll have another 1300 loading screens to crowd them out.

I just took a look at the import graphics options, and that *is* wierd (and I am running 284). I wonder when that happened? You can report that on the Wrye Bash thread, or I can report it.

And one last thing, I think we should both stop editing our posts: I missed at least one important piece of information you edited in to your second post.

Apparently those are debug messages in Wrye Bash 284, and will be fixed in 285. I can confirm that it works as checked in a BP with 284. Went back to 283, tried checking off the mod in Wrye Bash. Again, the ESP did not show up as a selection under Graphics in the Bashed Patch options.

Kind of late to report it, so I won't--but if somebody else comes along in the future with the same kind of error, we can ask about whether they're using Wrye Bash v283.

And no edits. Point taken.

The images are great, and the quotes look very apposite. I may put together a screen or two of my Skin-toned Mannequin mods with full paraphernalia, as you're getting back to work on these--and assuming you're interested.

When you had it in 283, was it in the correct position in the load order? The only reason I know of for a "Graphics" marked mod to not show under Import Graphics is if it is placed after the Bashed Patch. However, 283 was the first version that had the block on mods loaded after the bashed patch, so it might have just been an error in that version.

I gather everything is working correctly now?

It was properly positioned in 283, before the Bashed Patch, which made it odd. Logically, the ESP shouldn't have vanished from the BP's Graphics radar if it was simply checked--and I've no idea why BP auto-deactivated it, either. Now, with 284, it's working just fine. Thanks for asking, Showler.

If someone else comes along with the same error they'll probably be given a similar response: how do you expect the mod to work when it's deactivated?

It's also sometimes worth http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1094021-relz-wrye-bash-thread-43/page__view__findpost__p__15994230, so you don't feel obliged to tell people things they already know.

Screens are essentially welcome in any case, as long as they follow the general guidelines about not being character focused and so forth.

Well, I recently reinstalled Oblivion with some mods that Galahaut sent me, so I'll try to contribute some more screenshots now that this project is back up and running. I'm guessing it's alright if I upload a .zip to sendspace and e-mail you the link, right? I'll try to take about 50-100 after I get everything settled.

Also, you might want to add an additional poll option under "Which theme packs, if any, do you (or will you) use?" for those who use none (or don't want to use any), as if you don't check any it won't allow you to vote.

Sounds great! The more the better. I'll be happy to take a look at them, just send me a PM with the link whenever you've got them. I've got a few technical problems with my PC: the good news is that it seems to be my PC, not the screens that have problems. Is that really good news?

I am just working on a number of loading screens, shouldnt be long before I have a package of them. What format would you like, and what size will make it easiest for you to work with.

Original bmps are good, and the original resolution is also fine. Seriously, I can do all the conversion work for you:that's no trouble and gives me the freeest reign when it comes to resizing, cropping and so forth. It is quite a lot of bandwidth for you to upload though. Not sure if that's a problem?

If that's what you get, then that's fine. I have bandwidth to spare for larger formats: what I'd rather avoid is having the screens get reformatted and resized multiple times.

Greetings Vac,

I've been running the random quotes version lately... and it is absolutely beautiful, by the way! Anyway, I decided to switch to the no-text version for a while, just for a change. Unfortunately, I ran into a nasty CTD trying to load any saves with the no-text ESP active. If I just import graphics from it in WB, no CTD... but of course, no nice loading screens, either!

The only thing I see right off is that BOSS (the 06-06-2010 update) put the no-text version much further down in my LO than the random quotes version. That may be fine and have nothing at all to do with it, but that being the only difference I see initially I thought I'd mention it.

Anyway, the screens are gorgeous, and I have been very happy with the random quotes version. Just thought I'd let you know what I ran into.
