Atronach Expansion 2.00

Thanks to much appreciated help from the community I have finally been able to fix up these creatures for a release. The breakthrough came from Psymoniser, so I want to personally thank him for his invaluable input.

Here's the new description for y'all.

The Elder Scrolls III MORROWIND:

===============
1. DESCRIPTION
===============

This mod takes several community resources as well as my own work and adds eight new types of monsters as summonable creatures.

Air Atronach: Mentioned in lore but not included in Morrowind. Watch out for their burden spell!
Bone Golem: This fleshless undead golem will directly damage your health with it's Deathbloom spell.
Flesh Atronach: The equivilant of a Poison Atronach, this daedra was featured in Oblivion SI.
Iron Atronach: This atronach has no spellcasting ability but is immune to shock. Choose your spells carefully
Swamp Myconid: Found in the Bitter Coast Region, this strange creature is the weakest of them all, but don't take it too lightly...
Telvanni Myconid: Created from the minds of powerful wizards, these creatures are a formiddable foe.
Ash Golem: The Ash Golem is often summoned by powerful Mabrigash to ward off unwanted attention.
Crystal Golem: This animated mass of wizard crystal is a foe to be reckoned with.

Go to Mona's Spell Boutique, just outside the front gates of Tel Branora to buy some Summoning spells.

===============
2. Requirements
===============

Morrowind, Tribunal, Bloodmoon

========================
3. INSTALLING THE PLUGIN
========================

Extract the esp file to c:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Data Files

=====================
4. PLAYING THE PLUGIN
=====================

From the Morrowind Launcher, select Data Files and check the box next to the Atronach Expansion.esp or Atronach Expansion X.esp

"Atronach Expansion.esp" - This version only includes the spellshop with the summonable creatures.
"Atronach Expansion X.esp" - This version includes the summons. And also places all the creatures throughout Morrowind in the leveled lists. Use a leveled list merger!

This mod has been cleaned with TESAME and Enchanted Editor. So no worries.
To see the new atronachs, go to Tel Branora and you will find a Spell Shop outside of the front gateway (it's under a parasol). The mage there will sell you spells to summon all of the new atronachs. Or if you are using the 'X' version. Then you will also encounter the creatures throughout Morrowind in the leveled lists.

===============
5. SAVE GAMES
===============

You should be fine :-)

============================
6. CONFLICTS / KNOWN ERRORS
============================

Anything which places a building in the exact same spot as the Spell Boutique.

And if you are using Atronach Expansion X.esp, then also use a leveled list merger to avoid conflicts.

============
7. CREDITS

Finally! I've been quite eager to play this one. Too bad I'm not using a mage on this playthrough :(
Any chance you could put some scrolls or enchanted items in the shop as well?

Thanks! I am glad to finally have the second version out.

Also, if I have not obviously stated this in the ReadMe; this IS also a resource (as are most of my mods) so please feel free to use these in your own mods. Just give me credit for my creatures please :)

That is a good idea. Maybe I will add in some scrolls and/or enchanted items for non-mage players to use, thanks for the input. Right now I am actually working on getting Dahrk Creatures I ready for release :ninja:

Wow. this looks great!
I don't know if I like the Telvanni Myconid or the Swamp Myconid best, but I know I like all of them.

Thanks, the more creatures the better! It's a good thing that I have my bloom shader toggleable in case I run into that Air Atronach... :P

Yeah I've been looking forward to releasing these to :D I have become quite attached to all my creatures. I hope they all find good homes :hugs:

Edit: I seem to have forgotten to mention in the readme that this mod is actually dependent on all the expansions. But I believe that pretty much everyone owns them anyway....

That is an interesting idea... if only I were better at wordsmithing. I'm actually not sure where I would start if I made a tutorial for creature-making. Especially since there is so much I still don't know. I use a lot of trial and error sometimes.

Just type it out informally, like if you were explaining it to another member on the forums. You can word-smith later (or send it to me, I'm pretty good at that - but, no promises!). I find it is a lot easier to write things in a more casual tone, and then go back and polish it up, rather than trying to start off all formal-like.

I've got this great idea to replace the Dire Frost Atronach model with your Crystal Atronach. *rubs hands together in anticipation* Gah! Another WiPz I'll take forever to finish! :lol:

If I can organize my thoughts on creature making, maybe I'll make a tutorial on it. If I leave Morrowind modding, I wouldn't want the knowledge I have learned to leave with me.

Good luck making your replacer.... :)
