Atronach Stone w Willpower Schools of Magic

Post » Fri Apr 11, 2014 1:46 pm

I'm having a serious dilemma right now.

Willpower determines Magic Regen speed. My character uses Destruction, Restoration, and Alteration.

But I want to use the Atronach Stone, as it gives the most Magicka. Which I'll need, because I won't put any points into Intelligence(which increases Magicka) any time soon. The problem is it Stunts Magicka, or removes all Magicka Regeneration.

Would it be sensible to use the Atronach Stone? It does have the Spell Absorbtion, but I can get that in other ways.

It just seems very illogical. Leveling up Willpower would be essentially useless.

I really wish people would stop calling it the atronach stone. It's a birthsign!!!

But sure, you can use the atronach sign with magic, but it means relying on alchemy. Homebrew restore magic potions, lots of them.

And yes, it does make willpower completely useless. But put points in inteligence right from the start. More magicka is always better for a caster.

Too much Skyrim, I'm afraid.

But I chose a different route. I will rely on Alchemy. I'm using Destruction, Conjuration and Alchemy instead now, that way I can choose Strength and Intelligence(and now putting points into Intelligence) instead of Strength and Willpower for the Main Skill things. I only use Restoration to heal myself, which Alchemy can do, and I never really use Alteration. Daedra companions however, will come in handy.

I guess the thread can be locked now. After like, an hours worth of consideration, I found my answer.
