Sort of. I generally make plenty more good characters than I do evil characters. And I only make 1or 2 evil characters that would kill off random NPCs for little to no reason, it just doesn't seem all that entertaining to me. So even if my character is pure evil, he probably won't kill unless he has good reason or it benefits him.

No honour in killing the defenseless, but with it being Skyrim and all, your average townie should be a bit tougher than their Cyrodiilic counterparts. One journo said he attacked a barmaid, and couldn't kill her due to her stock of healing potions; rampages might not be an easy option at all.
Anyway, fantasy games are great, you can be an absolute saint, and still become filthy rich. That will do for me.

Oh...but it is. It doesn't matter if it's a Mark, to be assassinated or a random NPC. I try to kill each one differently.
Reverse pickpocket a cursed hood. Then cast a Command spell. They will stand there, with a big grin on their face. I stare them in the eye, as their health ticks away to nothing.
Command spell, and lead then to a cliff. Then push them off.
Remove all the food in the house, and fill their plates with chokeberries. Then set in the corner, wait and watch.
In all cases, I arrange the bodies, just so and leave a Daedra Heart on their chest.

Maybe your right...honor plays no role. But a calculated, creative and slow death is very...satisfying.

I always want to be the good guy, but somewhere down the road I make a 'wrong' decision at which I decide to turn into a bad guy.

You're a politician? :whistling:

OT, while pure black and white can be dull and predictable, the option to be truly good or evil should not be buried completely under the need for moral greys. Fantasy games, though more interesting with moral dilemmas, and ambiguous npc motivations, should still allow a player character who is a holy paladin or ruthless, power hungry killer to adhere to their roles.

I'd say I lean more towards 'chaotic neutral' :P

took the word right out of my mouth :teehee:

but if i have to pick good and evil i would pick bad

It feels so good to be bad!
So delicious to be a despicable cad!
It's just so thrilling
And so fulfilling
To give somebody the worst time they've ever had!
It feels so good to be bad!

It's great to hear someone Else feeling this! I Almost NEVER make pure evil characters, it was worse in FO3 than OB tough because it broke my heart to have Little kids being scared of me and Etc. I'm always good... Except i create One evil but He is really good aswell, kills for the greater good.

When I play an RPG I am always the good guy! even if I am playin it for a second or third time, I can start by thinkin "right no more mr nice guy" but when it comes down to it I just cant do it and if I do I feel really guilty.

Does anyone else feel like this????

The only way I can play as a bad person is to pick a specific character and play as what would they do. Presently my bad character is Ranis Artys form Morrowind. I figured when she was disappeared by the mages guild she eventually ended up in the Imperial dungeon.

I always end up playing something in-between. Basically a good person who don't mind helping others
when they need help, but does not take any bullcrap from anyone. Also, don't stand between her and
her goals either. She might also steal a little to get what she needs herself. She would however never
run off on some murdering rampage or murder innocent people just for the fun of it.

Is it morally wrong to murder someone because they look like this? http://static.zenimax.com/bethblog/oldcontent/Adoring-Fan.jpg
I think it's the morally RIGHT thing to do.

That's just bad, he can't help what he looks like!!
 :D :lmao:    :teehee:

I can't play as a bad guy, it's just hard... seriously, if I try being a baddie, I just end up being a goodie once again. Whatever I do in real life, I do in games, I'm quite proud of it.

I usually try both. But I lean more twords hero. Funny enough in fo3 I was doing my hero playthrough and ended up killing everyone in the nice apartment building. I thought I was being attacked, probably just saw me stealing. Next thing I know he's talking about me slaughtering everybody on the radio.. Oops

Well my characters are always usually inherently good when it comes down to it. But if someone bad mouths me I'll be sure to give them a fat lip.

Well, it depends on the situation. If I child is lost in the forest, I help him or her find their way home. But if a man is insulting me and threatening me, I attack him.

Kiind of in between.....I don't go around slaughtering every villager but I don't take any crap off a smart mouth npc.

This.

I will always do the right thing unless I don't like a certain NPC, except for stealing. I steal from anyone
