When I play an RPG I am always the good guy! even if I am playin it for a second or third time, I can start by thinkin "right no more mr nice guy" but when it comes down to it I just cant do it and if I do I feel really guilty.

Does anyone else feel like this????

Morality can be quite the party crasher, but when I play as an 'evil' person on an RPG, my morality has set off for greener pastures, but then again, who is to define 'good' or 'bad'?

I tried playing bad guys sometimes, just because being bad opens up new quests, dialogue and rewards in Morrowind and Oblivion, but somehow those evil characters of mine don't appeal to me very much. I tend to forget about them after a while and don't really feel for them. It's a pity though, I think the evilness of TES is very well developed.

The concept of 'good guys' and 'bad guys' is a meaningless oversimplification. That said, I tend to play characters of varying moralities. Why should I feel guilt over the actions of my characters?

I always try to be the middle man, and I normally am. Steal stuff etc that I wantand I just look after myself. This always tends to give me good "karma" though

Completely depends on the character I'm playing at the time. I can be a kindhearted savior, and I can also be a ruthless murderer. And everything in between.

I'd say I lean more towards 'chaotic neutral' :P

I don't enjoy playing evil; it's just not fun for me. The only kind of character I might be able to do some day would be a thief. I couldn't do an assassin-type.

My cousin made a character in Oblivion once, a really evil character. After something happened to her she had a change of heart and went around righting wrong's as a hooded avenger.

Thats the type of things I do and if I kill a villager I feel really bad and every now and then I will go and put a few grand in one of the chests in there home for their family!

Maybe I'll feel something if the writing/acting has actually improved.

Is it morally wrong to murder someone because they look like this? http://static.zenimax.com/bethblog/oldcontent/Adoring-Fan.jpg

I think it's the morally RIGHT thing to do.

Hehe I actually gave up playing as the evil dark Sith in Kotor because just felt too guilty, on the other hand some of the evil choices where just so hilarious ...

I play mostly the good guy, but sometimes even the good guy can turn bad when pushed enough, and if I'm really really bored I have no problems killing anything that moves.
