Attention to Detail

Wow! He does bring up some valid points if you can get through all of it, but if this is how picky we've become then the game will no doubtably be amazing if we are really diving this deep with technicalities.

I've grown to really appreciate Nagidal. Yes, hes very pedantic (especially that part about the arrow feathers). I like his point on the wolf attack. A 150lb wolf at full charge should really make an impact. Brace yourself.

I agree. I think he has a real creative mind. I just think it's amazing that its down to real technical things that we want them to improve upon.

He was very critical (constructively?) of Oblivion's graphics. Made me appreciate how badly some games tend to age over time.

Spoiler, his reaction to Morrowind's Journal was hilarious. So was his reaction to bone hounds (Shivering Isles). And I like his beard.

No offense meant to that guy, but there is no way I'm listening to fifty minutes of complaints. Valid or not. I can get plenty of that reading this very forum. ;)

This man's complaints are intelligent, coherent, and usually valid. Here on the forums you won't see much of that.

Since the game is open world and is so big, the game can't look perfect. The guy's a little too critical. Interesting video though

Most of what he talks about in the video is how the character interacts with the world. Shouldn't have anything to do with the game being an open world.

This video is old, and it's been posted before, a long time ago.

Actually, an open world, sandbox game is not going to look as nice or realistic as a linear, leveled game like Crysis 2. I was talking about some of the stuff in the beginning, about the rocks and stuff.

And, about the npcs, he has a valid complaint about the blacksmith. He's right. It's not natural enough. The blacksmith should still be paying better attention to what he's doing.

When he moves onto the woodmill scene, he talks as if he believes it is a 'cut-scene.' But, I know it has been confirmed that npcs work in the woodmill and that there are animations.

I'd watch the video but based on the comments I won't be. I don't like it when people overanolyze my favorite video games and ruin them for me so I don't have as much fun. I won't be constantly seeing the errors he's picked out and looking for others.

Lol! I was thinking the same thing. It didn't alter my opinion though. He does a great job of speaking to the things that are done really well and the things where there's opportunity. I didn't feel like it was all one sided.

I agree with you.

And yet, I dunno, I like the guy. There's no doubt in my mind that the dude is a massive nerd, perhaps one of those classic stereotypes of someone who works extraordinarily with facts and concrete numbers but suffers with social interactions and immeasurable systems, but I have a lot of respect for people who are passionate about what the do or what they're discussing, and this guy is TRULY interested in that polygon rock.

I saw the time and thought "aww hell no," expected to watch 5 minutes of it, but found him interesting and actually watched the whole thing (though I guess maybe I was more fascinated by it from a psychological point of view). Even had a laugh or two. Perhaps I'm going off-topic with this, but yeah, I just think this guy deserves respect.

ok, this is TWICE i have seen you comment on his reaction to morrowind's journal and shivering isle's bone hounds... can you PLEASE link me to them, because i cant find them anywhere...

i dont know why, but i feel like i'd get really irritated listening to his criticism... almost no one's criticism is constructive these days. <_<

Well, I may give it a try. But if it does ruin Skyrim for me even a little I will never forgive myself.

I like the guy,he seems rather intelligent. However,i find he is far to picky with certain things. There are alot of things he isn't taking into account either. I can understand where he is coming from on some things, but you can't compare everything or expect everything to be super realistic either. He obviously has a great computer, which not everybody has. Also some of things he mentions costs alot more money and time, and the fact it's a hugh open world and nowhere near as linear as other games makes a difference also. I did enjoy watching it,and enjoyed listening to him,but some things he mentioned just annoyed me. You can't expect all that with an open world game across three platforms.....not yet anyway. In some cases he's that picky ,that i think he forgets he is talking about a game.

Anyway, skyrim will be what it is,and i will enjoy it.
