[Req] Attn: Animators

Please consider:

Current sixy walk is totally inappropriate for little girls in Children of Morrowind; it is also pretty much not working for my Nord Barbarian Warrior or female Orcs, no matter what their occupation.

I am in hopes that someone can make a new female walk/run animation that is different from the male, but in a way that doesn't bring to mind a lady of the night. It would be nice if the animation didn't require liztail's animkit, but that can be addressed after the fact. Please, please, please? I'm really kind of disgusted with my only options being little girls with teddybears sashaying around with their hips swinging or a cobbled together form of the new male animations. Any takers?

What about Akavirs walk? It's less hipswinging but still very female.

Thanks Sister! I'll give it a try and see how the Orcs, Nords, and children look.

Thanks Sister, but neither of us could get it working properly without the toe and tail errors that seem to plague LizTail's animation kit. When I tried to remove them, I got the old female walk and when Elaura tried to remove them, her character couldn't walk anywhere. It's a shame because it is a nice walk. I may have to learn Blender and make my own. Or get Elaura to do it.

I was going to suggest you just PM Shon and ask him if he minds doing it for you - but sadly I see he took his site down and I haven't seen him around here for quite a while

There is a laborious way of changing the animation files in nifskope and a tutorial is in the CS section http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1246083-animations-exist/

Ehm... for me it simply works. Completely without Animkit. I used Animkit before and deselected Axel's walk from it, then installed those (and also his sneak animation). It just works fine, I got this on dozens of screens...

Old Axel's sixy walk:

New walk from Akavir:

And his georgous sneak animation:

No error messages. Wasn't there a global workaround the bone-problem? But I don't remember what it was :/

MCP has an option for allowing extra bones without errors. I have no problems with these animations, all I did was throw them in the meshes folder, I don't use the MCP option for extra bones and I've never touched or downloaded the animkit. Did you try them on a new game?

MCP was it! Improved animation support. I'm quite sure that this is the solution. Thanks Chainy!

I did. I may have to d/l the whole package. The one Sister linked to had two nif files that were only 1 kb each.

I was referring to people who use that kit to make animations, Sister. After I found out what it did, I stopped using it for adding and replacing animation files. But because I have custom animation files (Emma's Morrowind children), I get the missing tail bone error and none of the female NPCs use that particular walk.

Well, I tried it on a game without CoM and it really isn't what I was looking for. Everyone looks a little less stiff, but it's not quite what I was shooting for. Thanks, though. Maybe someone will take up the banner and make a new set of animations?

I'm quite sure that it is his own conversion :P

The animation does look really good! Is that what the link is for?

And Sister, where did you get that lovely face?

That dress, where you got that from?
And would you consider either releasing it or at least PMing it, perhaps? I am now dying to get it in my game. Along with that tattoo, for that matter.

This thread is just a wealth of great things besides the animation I now want for my own game...

Akavir, thank you! I'll definitely give this one a try. I've seen many references to your sneak animation, but I can't seem to find a download. Is it still available?

Sadly, the Smooth Animations still look odd to me. I think it's because I'm not using better bodies or any clothing replacers in my test install.

Jac is still getting the tail and toe bone errors, but he is also running Children of Morrowind.

Where does one download these animation files from?

Any plans on making male animations a little more smoother, instead of the robot walk?

Elaura - I too have an older custom animation that spits the dummy when these animations are added to a game - RX31 turned up a while ago and he is likely the animator of Emma's work - you could try sending him a PM and asking for an update.
