If the FAQ post weren't locked I could ask this there instead of having to create another thread. Just sayin.

I’m not hearing audio for NPC voices
Delete your FalloutNV folder and re-run the launcher. Make sure to back up your game saves

Do you mean the entire game folder and reinstall or the new vegas folder in my documents or is there another folder that you mean? Please be more specific.

Something that has "fixed" this issue for me is to alt+tab out of the game and using ctrl+alt+delete to bring up the task manager and going into the processes and right clicking on the new vegas process and setting it to above normal priority. The sounds are fine this way but it causes the game to fake a crash every once in a while. It seems random. It will stall up like its crashed, even having the radio loop small sections of the audio but after a bit, couple minutes at most it smooths back out.

Complete reinstall doesn't do jack for me, via steam or disk.

The priority alt+ctrl+del does work for me also (XP 64), but like you it has brought up a new problem. Anywhere from 10 min to 4 hours of game play I get the blue screen of death now.

These bugs are the definition of a whack-a-mole.

Change the process setting back to normal, as this sounds like it made your system unstable. If using a quad core, this should not be needed.
