This may just be a shot in the dark however from browsing the forum it seems many people are using RealTek HD audio and may be experiencing problems with the game reminiscent of the Fallout New Vegas launch. Although I posted this in another thread I figured it would be okay to create a topic on it in order to make it more visible.

Right click on the speaker icon and select playback devices. Right click on the default playback device then select properties then the advanced tab. If your default format is set to 192000 Hz reduce it to 24 bit 48000 Hz. Click OK OK. Try running the game. I'm not saying this is a fix just that it's worked before to resolve problems for many in the past. It couldn't hurt to try.
