I always wondered with auriel's sheild and bow how she used them both at the same time.????

Auriel is Akatosh in the High Elven Creation myth. Though I doubt the the shield and bow in morrowind are in fact the Aedra's actual artifacts gifted to him by Anu, they are there probably as a developer joke or easter egg.

The bow was used to shoot and arrow with the heart of lorkhan tied to it into the sea so no one could ever use it's power but as we see, the dwarves believed they knew better as did the Tribunal. Just goes to show when Akatosh says no, its for a reason. that reason being you might make your entire reace go poof or you might make yourself a god then lose your power and go crazy killing your friends and trying to kill the reincarnate of your dead husband and or you just sit around in a big temple floating all day.

that last one seems harmless but it would seem akatosh was trying to ward of lethargy.

So how did the real auriel weild the shield and bow? Was she like mehumas ( or whatever u spell it ) and had more then two hands O.o?

he used the bow separately from the shield. like people normally do.

Didn't Auriel also have a sword? So, he uses a bow for long range, and switches to a sword and shield for close combat. :shrug:

Hmm i always that auriel was a female O.o anyways so their is like a sword that is lost in lore and you cannot get in morriwnd. Would be a nice modded quest. Mabye see the ghost of Auriel.

Yeah, Auriel is the Aldmer name for Akatosh. Or, rather, Auri-El, which I think the preferred spelling?
