In Australia it can be kinda tough to get a good gaming desktop for under $1200. Build a desktop and save money!

This is the build I am using. All parts of Umart so you can get all the parts in 2-3 days after ordering.

Note: Does not come with Keyboard, Mouse, Internet Cable and Screen. If you look on there site I'm sure you can find that as well. The prices are pretty good though for here. I did include Win8 in this build so if you have a spare OS than it will only cost you $976. Oh and I already included the Shipping and Handling into the price.

I would recommend a smaller SSD than a 1gig hd for a gaming rig... if you need large storage then get an external.

An aftermarker CPU cooler is a very good idea for Intel processors, and fans are cheap so get a extra intake and outtake fan if the case doesn't already come with one.

CD and DVD drives aren't quite needed anymore now with the digital copies, unless you planning on getting physical copies of games.

And lastly that PSU is kind of weak, your getting a mobo with 3xPCI slots, would be wiser to get a 750W minimal so you can sli or cross fire gpu's in the future.

Thanks for the Advice. Since this is my first desktop I'm building.

4440 is pretty good for the price cause you don't need an after market cooler for that model. the stock cooler will get the job done fine with max temps around 75-80 degrees Celsius. I don't plan on upgrading. In 3 months i'm getting 5k to play with so I will make a much better build than and give this one to my GF. Cd/dvd again for my GF.

But all these parts when WILL be able to run a computer yes?

Yes, but under heavy load for how long, i don't know. !!!!

Don't be cheap, with the PSU. !!!!!! :wink:
