Auto-aim patch for 360

Post » Sat Jan 03, 2009 11:56 am

Who else thinks that xbox should get the no auto-aim patch that Pc just got. I for one play these multiplayer games more for fun and excitement than worrying about my kill score and rank. Ive also noticed through kill cam many players taking advantage of auto-aim quick-scoping and just turning this game into CoD all over again. What are your thought xboxians?

The aim assist nerf for pc pretty much made the controller useless against keyboard players. I warn you not to poke the bear because I don't care how good you are with a gamepad. It is nearly Impossible to hit a target at a distance with it off. You will not realize how hard it is until you play with it off. I personally have played both ways and the game is much more enjoyable with it on. You are in a different scenario since everyone plays with the same device on 360 but that nerf basically ruined any chance of me doing better than average in MP on PC.

PC gamers typically play with a mouse and keyboard, even on COD the PC players were better off without sticky-aim, which is what it should actually be called. Console players have more use for it because they use controllers.

You're saying that you've seen people having success quickscoping on here? I have yet to see anyone have success with sniper rifles on this game via quick or hard scoping. That's what quickscoping on the COD series revolved around. It was a sniper thing.

Disabling the auto-aim feature is just going to pump up the host player even more and then there will be even more crying on the forum about the connection issues and bullets not registering.

yeah i agree it does make the game much more difficult and i was usually at the bottom of the scoreboard when i had it turned off which really frustrated me so had
no choice but to turn it on again if i didn't want my K/D to be Horrendous, But if no one had the choice to have it on then it would be a diffrent story. It would defianetly increase people skill level overtime when using controllers

xbox gamepad needs some autoaim because the thumbs are not precise enough.

I always turn auto aim off every chance I get - I hate it, and I too would like to see it removed in all games - at least in one game mode. Red Dead Redemption did a good job of this, with lobbies for free aim choice, and others restricted to no auto aim only ('expert' mode in that game).

I don't have a problem competing without auto aim, as it's how I've played for years.

I'm a game dev and I'm seriously pissed of reading that stupid freaking statement over and over.

If the controls of the game svcks, yeah you'll need some auto-aim, but if they are done right like Battlefield: Bad Company 2 you just don't need it.

No other ansers. Bad dev, bad controls.

Your thumb and the controller are very precise. The thumbsitck and the dead zones just need some tweaking to feel right. No auto-aim is needed.
