Face the facts guys, with no new consoles in the forseeable future, controllers are a MUST for PC gaming. If you want to stick with the KB/mouse (oldschool), maybe you should keep to Diablo/Sim games.
Give me auto aim online (it is in SP) so I can show these kb/mouse fanboyz how to shoot!
i think some ones begging to be flamed so ill give you it K/B will all ways be better than controllers you don't have limited aim like controllers do also keyboards have more buttons and makes it tank less time to switch weapons on use other functions also your give me auto aim to show the kb/mouse people how to shoots just pointing out that you svck at shooting only one here that's a fan boy is you ok even controller fans know Kb/mouse is better.
I disagree on a point you made. Yes, the mouse is quicker at aiming, but it's simply not true that a keyboard is better than a gamepad controller.
Do you really believe that a person with a flat keyboard with so many keys can select buttons quicker than a gamepad? Unless you are "cheating" with macros, by the time you fiddle around looking down to hover your hand over a desired key, the controller user will have already selected his option even with his eyes closed.
I think that is one of the main benefits of controllers that kb/mouse users fail to acknowledge. The keyboard simply can never in a million years compete with the ergonomics of a handheld game controller where your fingers are always ergonically in reach of the buttons. You don't have to mess about looking away from the screen to find buttons like on a keyboard. A mouse has it speed of aiming benefits, but the keyboard is a total fail at gaming. Strafing on a keyboard cannot come close to the anologue stick strafing on a controller. Also, you can close your eyes with a controller and know where all the buttons are. This is partly why controllers will always have more popularity in the world than keyboard gaming. The keyboard is clunky and requires frequent eye glances to find keys, especially keys that your WASD hand is not currently hovering over. Face the facts. The keyboard is not a very attractive gaming peripheral and controllers are relaxing. You can stand up with a controller without having to pause a game. You can walk around the room and still game with the controller. You can sit back down on the sofa and still game in total relaxation in any position you feel comfortable. Try that with a Keyboard and Mouse.
I am not saying the mouse doesn't have benefits. What I am doing is showing you guys that there is a general ignorance on this thread regarding why people want to play with a controller. I know that I can use a mouse and target quicker. Yes that is true. But that does not make me a better or more skillful player. If you really want to demontrate skills and feel proud of yourself, then use a controller.
Anyone can use a high DPI mouse and "become good". It's not your skill that is doing it, it's the mouse. With a controller, you have to have skill to aim.
The other point you guys are missing about why people want to use a controller is related to its more social benefits and relaxed comfortable ergonomic designs versus the clunkiness of the keyboard, carpel tunnel syndrome of the mouse, and the discomfort of spending hours hovering your fingers over WASD like a ballerina, playing twister over hundreds of other similar-shaped keys spread out all over the keyboard.
These are the reasons why a controller is soooooo much more enjoyable to use.
this is so much fun, keep this thread alive, it make me laugh every time
ok im replying the troll comment:
following your logic, everyone must look the keys while they're writing (maybe you already are?

), and you must look at your gamepad buttons, news for you! its called muscular memory, your body learn where is every key, do you really think K/M users look at the keyboard everytime they want to do something?
aside from that, with a keyboard we can press 17 keys wich are near to the wasd movement keys, all on one hand, how many buttons has your gamepad?
