Auto Block?

Post » Thu Mar 20, 2014 1:30 am

I keep hearing people talking about an Addon that automatically blocks for you. I've been looking for it and can't find it. Is this one of those "zomg the sky is falling!" things? What is this mysteriously hidden addon called?

AFAIK there is no auto-block, they are referring to the tactical combat add-on that prints "Block" or "Interrupt" on the cast bars of several abilities.

IF an addon like that did exist I doubt they would publish it since it would be against ZOS addon policy.

All about timing and some skill to block those incoming blows and find it refreshing to not having my hand held

If the API allows for the info to be consumed in a way to trigger warning messages I don't see how you can prevent the same info from triggering a mouse/keyboard macro thus allowing for an auto-block.

The inherent UI says 'blah blah blah' when you can block or interrupt. It's like that from Coldharbor, don't need an addon to tell you that.

Showing a warning on screen is VERY different than pushing the button for you.

If you can retrieve that info from the API this would be very simple to code. Also, I was reading that apparently the API allows to know the "target of your target" - this would make dead easy to have the api information trigger the block in certain conditions. This, of course, externally, through an addon.

This information is readily available in numerous other addon-enabled MMO's, yet you don't have an addon that 'atuoblocks/interrupts' in those games.

...which is why I ask the question in the first place. Because the Addon Haters are pretending like the Addons play the game for you.

Still.. I don't even know of an addon that tells you when to block...and I've been looking.

Well, let's hope it doesn't become a problem here.
