[REL] AutoExec

Post » Wed Jun 16, 2010 1:15 am

I decided to go ahead and post this on the forum, since I feel it's a lot of convenience for only 4 lines of script.

So simple I'm surprised no one else came up with it first. Well, actually, I don't know that for sure, but I sure as heck couldn't find it.

So many mods have tweakable settings via the console now, but unfortunately whenever you start a new game, it's all gone and you have to put them in all over again. So the solution is thus: enable the esp, and then add those needed console commands to AutoExec.ini. Whenever the game loads, they'll be executed, and you'll be a happier man for having one less thing to keep track of.

Oh, and it needs Oblivion Script Extender.

If I managed to screw this up somehow, lemme know. (Like forgetting that people use RELz now for searching, oops.)

Funny, I recently made something similar (and with a nice auto-continue feature) but never got around to release it. Good work. :)

Feel free to release it! This is only 4 lines of code, after all.

You should add an option to make it execute with a button press. Then you could hit a button and go into testing mode.

This is a brilliant idea. As you say, incredibly simple, but apparently no one's thought of it before, which almost makes it better. Well done on this.

Chalk up a victory for inside-the-box thinking!

Thanks. :)
