Field Of Vision. This pulls the camera back a bit so your peripheral vision in the game is increased. 75? feels ...unnatural, particularly if you've a widescreen. Although one can use their console every time, this makes it a one button operation.

Enjoy! :) I suggest the 85 version as some weapon animations look weird with the 90 ver.

You know, you can easily resolve the resetting of the FOV by just editing your ini and setting it to read only, right?

It reverts though. I'd set the FOV to 90 in both .ini's and also set the GMST and the camera still wasn't snapping back until using the console. Fallout3.exe hasn't reset the .ini values, so I don't see the point in setting them as read only.

My FOV is 90, I just changed it in the .ini once like right when I got the game (a few weeks ago) and it hasn't reverted on me.

Yeah, I set my FOV and Weapon FOV once and have played like seven characters by now. Unlike Oblivion, Fallout 3 doesn't reset your FOV at the drop of a hat when you change fDefault1stPersonFOV and fDefaultWorldFOV. I have them set at 90 and 120 respectively.

Does altering FOV in the ini cause UI problems like it did in Oblivion?

Erhm, it will not be 'fixed'. GFWL have some creepy krypto check thingy; It's a fricking spyware - kill it with fire!

OSE is incompatible with Windows Live, so when running via fose_loader.exe, Live will be disabled. As Live operates as a cheat-detection tool similar to Punkbuster or VAC, FOSE's in-memory modifications are inherently incomptible. Don't worry about being banned or anything like that, everything still works when running Fallout normally. To download DLC, launch fallout3.exe directly instead of via the loader. After downloading the DLC, you will then need to move the DLC files in to the Fallout data folders to use them like any other mod.

Looks great, certainly much more convenient. Does it reset it on game load as well, or do we have to do it manually?

I do not have a fDefaultWorldFOV in my ini. I do have a fDefaultFOV, however.

Setting it to read only prevents FO3 from editing it, and resetting settings.

Sorry, but meh... FOSE vs. GFWL? FOSE wins hands down. I somehow doubt FOSE and GFWL will ever work simultaneously.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zmjaqejtj2w's a *fixed set for Oblivion that won't mess with your interface. :) It doesn't seem like messing with Fallout's .ini displaces its UI, but the change doesn't seem to stick for me and I'd always found myself using the console. Maybe I'd done something wrong, but this works for me.

It does seem to reset on reload, so I keep it hotkeyed. I'm not sure why, but changing the .ini was just never consistent. Can you think of a way to get the ring to auto-equip once per game load? Currently, it sets the FOV at the time the glasses/ring is given to the player, but has to be equiped after consecutive loads.

You don't need to get it to auto-equip, you just need a gamemode block on the item or on a quest checking if(getgameloaded).
