Playing a Commando character right now, and at lvl 15 Overseer's Guardian would be a BIG chunk of my cash so I don't want to buy it if it won't work on Auto.
What's the story?

If you don't like how it handles, just reattach the previous weapon mod you had on there.
I didn't think it was that bad..
but I also play a lot of FPS games, so maybe I'm just used to it more than some idk...
I think the gun comes with an auto mod?
Anyways I don't have any of the commando perks and I'm doing fine with an Automatic OG on my lv 23, good gun for mid-range combat although I did take the scope off the gun
Oh and if you do the Vault 81 "hole in the wall" quest before you buy the gun you can use all the junk from that quest to knock down the price abit just watch out for the molerats
An two bullet weapon has far more recoil than an default. This is the main problem with them, feel a lot like something like an .308 on full auto.
Benefit is that they are good high dps weapons for bosses or groups at closer ranges.
Now an two shot laser or plasma with the beam splitter has idiotic high climb, think of an large caliber pistol on full auto, one shot hit the enemy, next hit over and number 3 hit a vertibird.
automatic receivers benefit from Commando perk
semi auto receivers benefit from Riflemen perk
Way better single shot for accuracy, not to mention the ammo you burn firing auto
I have it on auto. Short burst (3-5 bullets) are ok. Anything longer and it's uncontrollable. I use it for mid range damage output, but it's not exactly op damagewise. I got some weapons with higher output.
I use something similar to Overseer's Guardian.
Automatic + Silencer = Badass.
The problem is I don't know what's your Weapon Modding rank and material.
i don't do auto. burns through too much ammo. i'm getting pretty rich though. i might spec commando and give it a try.
