Automatron DLC Is AMAZING! What Do You Think?

Post » Thu Mar 31, 2016 2:37 am

Hmm, not sure if building a bunch of Sentrybots to guard my settlement is better than settlers.

They might knock over my decorations worse than settlers do.

If there are six, then that's about what I'll pay.

I'm sorry, but the shear quantity of new robot parts added by the DLC alone is worth $5.

so since the DLC doesnt meet your standard, why u buy it???

Majority of ppl are happy with it. Again the minority come to the forums and star QQ about it.

LOL u guys complain about the price when most game give u nothing for 10$

Plus there 0 arguments that a non story base DLC cant cost 10$.

The funny part is no meter what the minority is QQ about. The DLC, the Season pass and the Game wtih a 20% discount are top sellers right now on Steam. I say that Bethesda know what is doing

Maybe they should have added some other things. How about some new weapons and armor. Or, I know. How about they added they ability to craft robots.

They will would never do something like that though.

OMG u speaking about mechanics that is BLASPHEMIES.

the only stuff that player should care is story nothing else that is the only strong points on game, get the worst mechanics but a good story and is the best game ever made on history.

Who cares if a DLC actually add new mechanics. STORY IS WHAT MAKE IT GOOD:

-.- sarcasm

so far we have 1. And it have good quality.

But uyou buy a Season pass with 0 clue about what u will get and u complain. Each day i get more surprise on the internet.

If you as a consumer know that you have a "standar" of quality, why you buy something you dont know anything about it?

It's decent the Automatron DLC. I am not a fan of running around fighting swarms of enemies for beacons though and it's what is making me kind of ignore it.

I agree with this. Some on here believe that making robots gives us hours of fun.

It all honesty I'm not going to be using this feature for anything besides settlement defenses and if the arena dlc is any good. I usually only focus on 1-2 settlements at most in a single playthrough because we're lacking interesting settlements.

I'm kind of wishing they did add stuff like that to FONV. Maybe as something your Courier stashed away. Or even an organization that manufactured an arsenal of guns that you could run over to and buy from them.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean it isn't there, or someone else might like it.

Hence it is all part of the cost for the DLC.

If you worked for weeks, I'm sure you would want to know you were getting compensated for your work. 1.99 is absolutely laughable, did you think this was a character skin?

i really enjoyed the dlc. Building robots is fun, and it added a neat little questline and companion. Personally i thought i got my money's worth, especially compared to the dlc from fallout 3 and new vegas. I like the idea of adding more to the base game with dlc rather than making a questline you'll burn through and never replay.

Like lots of people have said, I'd say decent is the right word. A bit let down by the lack of interesting story and characters, but I wasn't too surprised by that either. The custom robots turns out to be surprisingly cool.

I like it for the most part. Ada and the Robotic Expert perk is a little OP imo. Those massive explosions caused by some of those robots still insta-kill me at times since the explosion is a delayed reaction, lol.

One thing that could have been better is the end game radiant quests could have unlocked additional mods instead of having all mods unlocked and handed to you after completing the story. There's little to no incentive to continue robo hunting once you complete the story.

Screw the robot building, the Tesla Rifle is amazing!

What makes a game/DLC good depends on who you ask. Some people enjoy mechanics more while some people (Like myself) value story above everything

else.

Something selling well doesn't mean it's high quality. Don't confuse the two. There's plenty of sub par games, DLC and movies that make bank. It doesn't mean they are high quality.

Also, learn from my stupid mistakes and don't claim what the majority likes/dislikes.

That was my impression, it seems nowhere as good as DLC form previous Fallout games. I am not particularly interested in DLC that just add new gadgets, I am more interested in new areas and quests lines (real ones). Still I have not bought it so could be misjudging. Planning to pick it up in a steam sale somewhere down the line; just for completeness.

Looking forward to new survival changes.

I really liked automatron, it's very immersive and ADA was brilliantly designed - I immediately felt sorry for her and she is one of the few potential companions I took a liking to.

Having said that, I would have liked the story line to be MUCH longer, 4 missions was a bit pants, even my level 31 character had it all done in just over 4 hours, my level 100 had it done in under 3.

It would also have been nice if when you built the robot workbench it automatically kicked in with a little "this is how this works" tutorial bot build.

Well the story is kind of secondary to me. In fact to be honest I can't even really get into it. But the extra stuff to make and do is a lot of fun. The new enemies are a blast. The new Robot Armor is kind of a waste for me as it's just another heavy trashy looking set of armor. The new weapons don't really do anything for me either. Slapping together bots is a lot of fun though.

I did have to pull one of my retired characters out to play it though as the need for Perks requiring a high INT made my current character not so favorable for the DLC.

As far as the money goes, well yeah for $10 I can buy a burger and drink at Chili's or something so for all the extra game-play sure it's well worth it.
