Automatron DLC Is AMAZING! What Do You Think?

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2016 8:53 pm

Really enjoying it, other than not getting xp for the robot kills...or at least most of them.

Yay lots of effort and resources for less character progression (less xp = less levels) :nope:

We don't really need to hunt down robots. You just need to kill the ones you run across in the story.

it is a PACKAGE program! Early adopters got a bargain! I still think it is worth a tenner. It has a lot more than face value with all it offers. give it a chance!

think about those custom bots against Deathclaws in the next release! Sweet!!

but I will say, building my own bot seems OP against everything. he dominates!

Maybe time to start another toon?

It's fairly enjoyable for what amounts to filler content. I was expecting a little more meat to it, but beyond the robot building which was fun for an hour or so, there just isn't much there. I wasn't particularly hyped for this dlc anyways though and honestly I wouldn't have got it if it hadn't been included in the season pass. I do consider it better than Mothership Zeta however, so I guess that's something. At least we only have to wait a couple of months until we get our real Fallout expansion.

No, you have to rate a DLC off of it's own merits. It is not a "package program".

And as far as giving it a chance, I already own it. Like I said, it's good for what it is but it isn't worth 10 bucks.

They still spawn all over the map, so it creates some new enemies to mix things up, and

Spoiler
If you keep the Mechanist alive, you get a new source of radiant quests to hunt down the robots out in the Commonwealth.

eh, let's see how it works with the other DLC!

or try starting new toon and see how well it replaces Prestons' weak performance as companion!

I don't know if it was worth ten bucks or not (haven't played the quest yet), but it's cool and I got the season pass for thirty bucks so I didn't pay ten bucks for it anyway.

No, I was mistaken, I just tested it and even if you have the option to create new robots and you have all the materials, the game always tells you that you lack the requeriments.

I know. My point is that you find all the mods when by the time you beat the story.

I'm glad it only costs $10, don't get me wrong. But this is definitely more than $10 worth of content. I don't know how anyone can complain. As someone said, you can just keep making robots!

Bethesda has a solid hit with Automatron. I could barely tear myself away every hour to stretch and get a glass of water it is so good. The robot menu is in-depth and well done. The quests are interesting and entertaining. The battles were awesome! I got my butt handed to me several times on Very Hard mode and not using fast travel.

Automatron is well worth the price. Bethesda did very well with this one. :)

I'm loving it. Well worth the price tag, and a bargain if you got the season pass at $30. I just spent the last 3 hours making a full mech settlement, and I haven't finished the main quest yet. Can't wait to build some sentrybots at my base camp on Spectacle Island. Even the robot armor looks awesome!

I've had a lot of fun so far playing it today and am only 3 quests into it. Count me among the people who say this is worth more than just 10$ of new content.

A most magnificent beast is this AUTOMATRON DLC. Fantastic how intuitive it is to customise and totally change the appearance of a bot and its weapon loadout. Loving how there are so many paint schemes to further enhance a bots individual personality. The combat is glorious like a storm of massed crazed metal hunting down their designated target with cold precision execution. It's like something out of The Terminator or Battletech.

A masterpiece DLC full of joyful gaming and escapist fantasy.

Hail Bethesda! Bringing the fun like nobody's business :foodndrink:

Excellent DLC well worth the its price tag. Main Quest alone took me 4 hours to complete, now I'm going deep into robot customization.

I've just discovered I can give ADA a lockpick function to go with her minigun and flamer. She's OP but it's fun as hell.

I think I'll find out in the morning... it should have downloaded to my PS4 while I was at work. Then again, I'm hip deep in the Railroad storyline with my second toon and about 5 other things are going on for both of my characters... will I actually have TIME to get into the DLC?

I see a lot of people with everything unlocked already. I am glad I created a new character instead, at least I get to enjoy the progression of unlocking new parts for my robots.

I like everything about this DLC, it's not just a new gameplay mechanic, but there are also totally new weapons, armors, enemies, and quests.

When I finally get enough resources and my level is high enough I am going to build a settlement full of OP sentry assaultrons with the strongest weapons, and I am going to fight them all myself. My assaultron can already kill me easily.

Was expecting a natural defence stat when leaving a bot at a settlement. Fully armed sentry bot on a guard post and all i get is 2. It should be way more for just being there, unassigned.

Same here. If there is only 1 unannounced DLC after Far Harbor, that means each DLC costs $7.5 US. Based on what I know about Automatron, I think it's worth that.

Well, 6, if it is manning 3 Guard Posts, but I get the point. And I agree.

The story is only about 2 hours. So it'll take about as much time as the Sliver Shroud questline.
